"Alright, lovebirds, break it up," I said, my tone sharp. "We have more training to do."
Eumhun blushed and took a step back. "Right. Sorry."
I rolled my eyes. "Don't apologize. Just focus."
Noel blinked. "Thought we were ending it here."
"True, but your second tutor is here so I'll pass the torch," I said, gesturing at Eumhun.
Eumhun stared at the tired Noel. "Think a break would suit him better, no?"
He nodded. "I'm starving."
"How honest of you," I said. "There's a mess hall not far from here. I'll show you the way."
We walked to the mess hall, a large, airy building with open arches that let in the cool morning air. It was already bustling with activity, the sounds of chatter from the sentinels and kitchen staff filling the space.
We grabbed our food and sat down at a small table in the corner. Noel devoured his meal with the desperation of a man who had gotten stuck in the desert for days.
