Ugh, I was forcing things again. I gave up, but kept my eyes closed.
Suddenly, I saw a light. A single star in the darkness of my mind. It came closer. Its warmth was... familiar. It had a warmth I knew well. A warmth that reminded me of Vadim. It was the same kind of warmth I felt when we were kids and he helped me up when I fell. The warmth that made me want to be a better person.
I watched and waited for it to draw close. My eyes widened as I realized it was him! Well, not the real him, but a projection of him.
"Hmm? Cuz!" he said, running towards me. "Knew I felt something faint and familiar! Turns out it was you!"
I frowned. "Are you here in person? No... this is some sort of dream." Cannot believe I fell asleep like this.
He chuckled. "Yes and no, I think."
I blinked. "Huh?"
"I mean, it isn't a regular dream. When meditating, you can sometimes enter the Realm of Dreams. I think you did that by accident."
