Atticus' katana flashed forward in an absolute thrust. The abyss god saw his life flash before his eyes. Instinctively, his will churned violently as he invoked.
"Shadow Warp!"
He blurred to the side, but not before the katana pierced through his left shoulder and burst out in an explosion of flames and burnt flesh. Flesh sizzled as dark smoke curled from the wound.
"Shit—!"
The abyss god's face twisted in pain, but he froze the instant he met Atticus' cold gaze. Those eyes stared at him as though he was already a corpse.
Suddenly, a shout tore through the haze.
"Hold him! Don't let that bastard move!"
Atticus' gaze sharpened as the Willguard burst from the smoke behind him. He tried to pull back, however, the abyss god suddenly gripped the blade of his katana tightly.
He instantly dispersed his will. His arms sizzled from the contact, yet the determination in his eyes only deepened.
"…you're not going anywhere."
