"So many people saw it, I got beaten so badly. And now you're actually telling me to forget about it. How could you do this? Did someone bribe you to deliberately help them?"
Annie Lawrence's anger reached its peak, and she could no longer choose her words carefully.
The police had been speaking politely to her.
However, when they heard her accuse them of taking bribes, their faces darkened.
The police officer glared coldly with his face stern and snapped: "How dare you talk like that? If you continue to slander law enforcement officers without proof, do you believe we could detain you right now?"
"Did I say it wrong!" Annie raised her head, her face full of extreme anger as she yelled at the police officer, "I've been beaten up and so badly at that. You don't arrest those who beat me, let alone punish them, but now you're telling me to forget about it?"
"And to fine me."
"If it's not because I'm not benefiting you, then why are you doing this to me?"
