A cold voice came clearly from the doorway.
The two people hugging each other froze, their nerves instantly tightened.
They must be imagining things; how could it be so coincidental, to be overheard while whispering...
After a while, Emma Aiden reluctantly turned her head and looked towards the hospital room.
Seeing Collins Aiden standing at the door with a dark expression, she felt weak, and buried her face into Harrison Yale's arms.
It's over, they've been exposed!
"Dad, we were just joking, don't take it seriously..."
Emma's desperate words were not even finished before Collins Aiden turned around, pulling Ella Jackson with him as he left.
She urgently looked up at Harrison, but Harrison's eyes remained calm.
He was only slightly surprised for a moment before calming down.
"Don't worry, I'll go explain to Uncle Aiden." Harrison said after a few seconds of silence, and then took Emma's hand, stepping out of the hospital room.
