In the latter half of the night, Harrison Lucas began to run a fever.
His lips were dried and cracked due to the high fever in his body, yet he was shivering unconsciously, feeling exceptionally cold.
Harrison Lucas instinctively leaned toward that fiery embrace in front of him. He didn't know what it was; he just felt that being close dispelled the cold, making him feel extraordinarily secure.
A burning pain surged from behind his left shoulder, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. He unconsciously let out a soft hum, but his dry throat brought a hoarse pain.
At that moment, in his drowsiness, Harrison Lucas felt his chin being lifted by a hand, forcing him to leave that fiery embrace.
"Mmm..." He softly expressed his dissatisfaction.
Harrison Lucas felt no comfort in his whole body; the only solace was that this warm embrace could drive away the chill.
Unfortunately, he was too weak, only able to let out a faint whimper, lacking any strength to even attempt to stop it.
