The TV channel kept changing continuously, the flickering lights reflecting on the two of them. Watching the entertainment program in front, Shane Winchester said in a warm voice, "What would you like to watch?"
Riley Sully, holding a cup of milk, glanced at him, "Anything is fine."
The silence between them returned again, lasting until Riley Sully finished more than half of her milk. She put down the cup and looked at Shane Winchester, "I'm going to rest first, you should too."
When the words fell, she turned and left without waiting for his response.
Shane Winchester instinctively grabbed her wrist. Riley almost instinctively wanted to shake it off, but somehow, she didn't struggle. Instead, she quietly looked at the big hand holding her.
Slowly lifting her head to meet his handsome face, she seemed to faintly expect him to explain something.
Shane Winchester also stared at her for a long while. In the end, he just withdrew his hand and said softly, "Sweet dreams."
