Joseph Shaw knew that James Black was telling him that he was aware of the things Jillian Carter had cursed about Jane Sampson at the guardian team's doorway.

"Jillian Carter." Joseph Shaw called out Jillian Carter's full name at the doorway, "Did you go behind my back today to provoke Jane Sampson again?"
