James Black rubbed her head through the quilt, "Don't curl up completely in the quilt. If you're tired, go ahead and sleep. I'll go wash up."
Jane Sampson responded with an "okay" through the quilt, but she didn't move.
James Black reached out and pulled the quilt down from her, stopping only when her eyes and nose were visible.
