The wind whipped past her ears, and Olivia Lewis inhaled too much cold air, almost retching from discomfort. Her arms hurt, her shoulders hurt, and as she plummeted, pain exploded throughout her body.
Her feet finally touched the solid ground, and Olivia groaned, hitting the ground hard.
The rope made of bedsheets she was holding onto snapped completely at that moment, breaking into two pieces. Luckily, Olivia landed just a second before the bedsheets couldn't bear the weight and broke; otherwise, she would have really fallen from the second floor.
She fell into the shrubs in the back garden, with new scratches bleeding on her arms and legs. Worse, her evening dress was now unwearable, torn all over by the branches.
Thankfully, the essential parts remained intact, or else she would really have to run around naked.
"Senior?" Just as Olivia was wondering how to get out, she suddenly heard Lydia Bell's savior-like voice.
