Kai Syaoran stepped quietly into the lush, emerald depths of the green bamboo forest. This time, he did not linger near the outer fringes where the voices of the Heaven Dao Sect could still be heard; instead, he ventured deep into the heart of the tall, towering stalks. The thick canopy overhead filtered the bright sunlight into a soft, mottled green haze, casting long, dancing shadows across the damp earth. As his boots crunched softly against the fallen leaves, he let his mind wander freely from one passing thought to another, allowing the rhythmic rustle of the wind to soothe his lingering unrest.
