Chapter 131 - Chapter-130

Elsewhere, specifically in Uzumaki Naruto's apartment, we find him kneeling in front of his closet, where a metal trunk lay at his feet containing scrolls, seals, and his Ronin suit. With a vacant expression, he brought his hands to his forehead, slowly unwrapping the bandages covering it, revealing the metal band with the leaf symbol crossed out.

Carefully, the blonde untied the knot of the band and dropped it into the trunk, his mind filled with thoughts and memories. Closing the trunk tightly, he placed a sheet of paper inside and locked it with a detailed pattern. Standing up, he stepped back to close the closet slowly.

Taking a few steps back, he sat on the ground in a lotus position, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. Suddenly, everything around him darkened, and the ground turned into water with giant bars rising before him.

"Hmm?" Behind the bars, the nine-tailed fox appeared in its giant fox form, then transformed into the female form the shinobi knew well. "What do you want?" she asked, suspiciously narrowing her eyes.

Silent, the blonde walked, creating small waves with each step that reached the limits of the cage.

Crossing her arms, the Biju felt tense seeing her Jinchuriki's spinning Sharingan, staring directly at her with a penetrating gaze. "What are you planning? A desperate act?" Kyubi growled, her eyes shining brightly.

But suddenly, the shinobi fell to his knees, transforming into a four-year-old child, resembling his appearance when he was sealed inside her. "I..." With bright blue eyes, the boy smiled, then lowered his forehead to the ground. "I'm sorry."

Motionless, the fox didn't know how to react. Her Jinchuriki was kneeling before her, asking for forgiveness? Shocked for a moment, she then lifted the boy off the ground in a fit of rage, gripping him by the neck and glaring into his eyes. "What are you planning, you filthy human?! Tell me!" Her claws were poised to attack.

"I... I just wanted to thank you," the blonde said firmly, held by the Bijuu. "Since I can remember, you have saved me from death, healing me and giving me the strength to continue fighting."

"Only because your insipid life is linked to mine! If you die, so do I, you fool!" the fox spat in fury.

"But still... you chose to keep me alive, rather than seeking freedom elsewhere on the elemental continent..." he said, looking directly into her eyes. The fox extended her paw, stopping just inches from the boy's blue eyes.

"Get out of here!" he commanded, throwing his jailer out of the cage, causing him to plunge heavily into the water covering the ground. "What's happening to you now? Entering here and taking on that appearance... What do you want?" he demanded, his tone low and ominous, seeking an answer.

"Oka-san told me about that masked man... the supposed Uchiha Madara," he continued, despite the deadly aura emanating from the redhead at the mention of that name. "She said she released you from the seal and that you were controlled by her Sharingan... you never intended to destroy the village..."

"I just want to be free!" interrupted the blonde, pounding his hands against the cage bars. "I just want to be alone, away from you! My brothers and I have been tormented by you since Father died! Asura and Idra were supposed to protect us! Their descendants were supposed to defend us! But they lied and betrayed us!" The redhead's rage and hatred intensified with each passing moment as she unleashed buried memories. "They abandoned us to our fate! And look at us now! Just batteries for their beloved Jinchurikis! Stop letting them fight their stupid wars! Creating chaos and death! Father was wrong about you! I can't trust you! You're just monsters!" she screamed, tears of frustration welling in her eyes.

"You can't trust humans..." she whispered softly, memories flashing through her mind.

"Madara Uchiha...

Kyubi, now you are nothing more than a collection of chaotic energy, with an ephemeral existence that long ago was one... You are nothing more than an unstable force without knowledge, it is only the Uchihas who can guide you, the bijus are slaves of those of us who have ocular powers... obey...

Hashirama Senju...

Kyubi, your power is denounced immense so that you are free in this now peaceful world... I'm sorry, but you will no longer be free... ever again.

Mito Uzumaki...

I am in charge of keeping you sealed, to prevent your anger and rage from affecting the fragile balance of this world, which is trying to maintain a weak peace between the neighboring towns, you and your brothers must be controlled and sharpened so that this world can prosper...

Kushina Uzumaki...

You and I haven't had much luck, have we? The responsibility of the Uzumaki Clan now falls to me, to seal you and keep you in my... it is necessary, I am your jailer and you my prisoner, you are not fit to live among humans. , where you will only cause damage to everything around you, you are like a force of nature, which can cause the death of millions... your destiny is and will be sealed, to avoid sowing chaos in the world...

"Father, you were wrong about the humans, saying that they and we could coexist in this world, but just look at us? The humans used your precious gift of Ninshu to kill each other like savages, they spit on your teachings and dreams of peace, Your precious children were reincarnated again and again only to massacre each other, causing great chaos in the world. And we, your creations? You considered us as your children, now we are only 'things', beasts without conscience, mere tools to be used by humans..." the Bijuu with nine tails thought angrily, her mind consumed by rage. "Where is your faith in humans, father?... Where was that nonsense that everyone could live together?... Where is your faith that everyone would be connected to your precious gift?!... You were wrong about everything, old fool!" With these questions tormenting her mind, Kyubi spiraled further into rage and fury.

"Since when do you carry all that hatred, Kyubi? Since you were born from the Sage of the Six Paths, you said you were created together with your brothers so many centuries ago. Will you ever leave all that behind to give humans a chance?"

For a moment, the fury of the Nine-Tailed Fox paused, recalling what her jailer had told her long ago. Watching him rise slowly from the ground made her doubt. She could have destroyed his mind, killed him, and in several decades, be reborn elsewhere.

"Damn you and shove that philosophical crap up your ass!... All humans are the same garbage in my eyes... You're to blame for us being locked up! Treating us like mindless beasts! You just use us as tools for your pointless wars, killing each other like savages! You'll be the architects of your own destruction..."

"That may be true... But even amidst all this chaos, there can be peace... No matter how much you hate me... I forgive you for attacking my home and forcing my father to use a suicidal technique... I hope you can let go of that hatred, Kyubi, and at least give me a chance to establish mutual peace."

"..." With its hair obscuring its eyes, the tailed beast watched as the Uzumaki slowly rose from the ground, still wearing that infuriating smile.

"You know..." Naruto's childish visage shifted back to its original form, but he made sure both of his eyes were blue, countering the hatred emanating from the beast's cursed eye. Letting out a sigh, the teenager stood up. "We've both been through a lot... maybe it's time to let go of our past... and focus on the present, don't you think?" he ventured, a glimmer of hope in his eyes as he looked at the redhead, who remained unmoving.

"How can I trust you?" came the grim inquiry, the beast's eyes gleaming in the darkness.

"I don't know..." came the Uzumaki's sincere response as he slowly faded away, signaling his return to the outside world. "I just know that... maybe you have to take a leap of faith... so that one day, perhaps, we can be friends..." With one final smile directed at the fox, the shinobi vanished.

Without a word, the mightiest of the tailed beasts lowered itself to the floor of its prison, yet for some reason, it began to tremble. The water covering the ground evaporated, giving way to cracking earth that formed into towering rocky mountains. Grass and vegetation sprouted across the landscape, reaching to the distant horizon. The once infinite darkness of the sky was replaced by a starry night. Though the giant prison bars remained, the Bijuu paid them no mind as it stood and surveyed its transformed surroundings.

"That brat..." as it roamed the area, it felt the soft earth beneath its feet, reaching out to caress one of the many trees that had sprouted. It even felt a gentle breeze brushing against its face, tousling its long hair in waves. "This changes nothing..." it mused, gazing up at the sky, then inhaling deeply. Despite the lingering hatred in its heart, it couldn't help but notice a faint smile forming on its lips.
