Arabella Vanderbilt's straightforwardness left Beverly momentarily speechless, and the driver watched her anxiously, his eyes pleading for help.
Seeing Arabella about to leave, Beverly quickly stepped forward and said:
"But there's no need to report this to Grandmother! Do you know how busy she is every day? If even small matters like this require her personal attention, don't you think that's going too far?"
Arabella paused her steps.
Seeing this, Beverly sighed in slight relief, "You've never been there for her all these years, and now that you're back, you're giving her so much trouble? Arabella, don't be too selfish. No one doubts Grandmother's love for you, but you can't expect her to stand up for you just because you're a little wronged. Can't you at least consider her feelings?"
Arabella slowly turned around, looking at her calmly, her voice cool.
