"I was too tired yesterday, I accidentally fell asleep."
Michael frowned, "Then why did you turn off your phone?"
"Is that so?" she said, taking out her phone to check. She had turned it off last night and hadn't turned it back on yet.
"Oh, it probably ran out of battery. I was in the hospital all day yesterday and didn't charge it."
Michael stared at her for a long moment, then suddenly sneered.
"Isabella Harrison, if your phone was dead, how did you manage to message the caregiver but not notify me? Do you really think I'm going to believe you?"
Isabella tugged at her lips and turned around to calmly pour him a bowl of stew, "The soup tastes pretty good, you should try it."

The hospital room was plunged into a strange, deathly silence.
The doctors, nurses, and caregivers all shivered simultaneously, exchanged looks, and wisely left the room one after the other.
Isabella's face still wore a faint smile, seemingly oblivious to the low pressure emanating from Michael.
