Scrolling through the list in her Penguin contacts, she was somewhat surprised to see that she was still in the school-grade group chat from back then, but she didn't feel much emotion about it.
Such groups still exist today, largely because most people are too lazy to care, and hiding the chat is probably everyone's necessary choice.
Rather than offending someone by kicking them out, having one more person in the group doesn't really matter.
She opened the group and scrolled through the members. When she saw a not-so-unfamiliar remark, she curled her lips slightly.
Opened the chat window.
The smile on her face was light and natural, but to Grandma Rodbell and Ruth Wills sitting across from her, it inexplicably sent a shiver down their spines.
