Joel Russo paid no heed to all that.
The surgery was successful; he was eager for Travis Miller to wake up immediately, the worst scenario was just a matter of time.
He ignored Elia Hemsworth's words and focused on Abigail Hemsworth, continuing:
"One lesson is enough. Dragging it on...do you want him to give you another life in return?"
Abigail Hemsworth's heart trembled fiercely.
Joel Russo captured her expression fully, satisfied at last.
He glanced at Arabella Vanderbilt in his arms, raising a hand to button her coat at the collar.
"If you refuse to marry him, I won't interfere with his life or death in the future. Agree to marry him..."
Joel Russo finished buttoning Arabella's coat, tucked her loose hair behind her ear, smiled slightly, then turned his gaze to Abigail.
"Perhaps there'll be an absolute surprise for you."
Abigail Hemsworth frowned.
"What do you think could surprise me now?"
