Xue Ling studied together with them, and Chu Molin carried things in one hand while pulling Qin Xue with the other as they walked toward the Jis' place. They hadn't given any notice before coming, and they didn't even know if his snakebite had healed yet.
It wasn't just Qin Xue who was thinking about this; Chu Molin was thinking the same thing. Most importantly, they might very well be his foster mother's children. For him, that was a responsibility he couldn't ignore.
His foster mother had raised him, and he couldn't shove that responsibility away. The responsibilities that are his to bear, no matter how hard they are, he has to shoulder them.
So when he saw that familiar signboard of theirs, he actually felt a bit dazed. His foster mother clearly had children of her own, so why did she still raise him, and why hadn't she told him?
