We thanked the chef for the food, and we started to eat it. We talked about the future for Nakoa and us. After the nice lunch, Nakoa woke up, and Elliana went to him and walked off with him. I waited for them to return, still wondering about Gwen and our baby. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice Elliana and Nakoa return. Eilliana and Nakoa were waving to me, and I waved back with a soft chuckle. Nakoa giggled once I waved back; he made my heart melt! I approached them, picked him gently from her, and kissed his head softly.
Gwen POV
Cornelius and Aiden got more anxious once I got closer and closer to the due date. We sit in the garden and eat some nice fruit. I tried to get up, but I felt water down my legs. Oh no! Did I pee myself? Before I could think about anything else, Aiden picked me up. ´Cornelius, get the doctor! Her water just broke!´ I heard Aiden yell and carry me into my bedroom. I started to feel contractions soon after. I bite my lip, and Aiden places me gently on my bed. We both heard the door open and close fast. ´Looks like Ocean is done waiting, huh?´ He asked with a chuckle. I smiled before I was hit with a contraction. I screamed from the pain. Aiden held my hand softly. After the pain went away, Aiden ran to the bathroom and got some towels, a bowl of water, Ocean's clothes, and more that may be needed. Some minutes later, Cornelius and the doctor arrived. They put a blanket on my legs and helped me remove my pants and underwear. A midwife arrived too and pushed Aiden and Cornelius out of my bedroom.
Aiden POV
The midwife pushed us out of the room, and the second the door closed, we heard Gwen scream in pain. Cornelius sat down anxiously on the floor. I sat down next to him and kissed his head softly. ´I can't wait to see Ocean, but I'm also scared.´ Cornelius spoke softly. ´It will be fine, darling. She is strong.´ I responded to him.
*A few hours later*
Still Aiden POV
After what felt like ages, we heard a baby cry! We both shoot up from the floor. The door opened a minute or three later the door opened. Cornelius and I ran into the bedroom, and we saw a baby in Gwen´s arms. ´Ocean....meet your Uncle Aiden and Uncle Cornelius. Gwen introduced us to the small baby. Cornelius and I sat softly on the bed next to them. ´Cornelius, do you wanna hold her?´ She asked him, and he nodded right away. She smiled softly and gave Ocean to him gently. His pupils grew big and started to shine. He held Ocean as she could break at any moment. Ocean opened her tiny eyes, and we saw her beautiful eyes. I saw that he fell in love with her; I can´t deny it. I fell for her, too. She is so adorable. Once she saw us, she giggled. We smiled at her sweetly as she reached for me. I picked her up and kissed her forehead softly. My heart melted immediately. She looks so perfect. ´Would you guys want to be her godfathers?´ Gwen asked us out of the blue. Cornelius and I looked at her in shock. We then glanced at each other before smiling and nodding. ´Good... I hoped that you two would say that,´ she responded, handing us some papers. ´Adoption papers? Why adoption papers?´ I asked, confused.´If something were to happen to me... I know she would be safe with both of you. I just want her to have a loving family if I'm not here anymore.´ She said, offering a soft smile.
