"Have warn you, not to mess with me, and am adding another warning, whenever you see me, avoid me"I said, looking into his eyeball. He look at me one last time before walking away, he's so boring, I thought he would start fight, I miss fighting, it being long I beat someone up, he always end up walking away. I sat down to continue drinking, when I remember my brother. I won't deny the fact I miss him and all the time we spent together when we were young, he's was protective, and also a very caring brother, always fight for me and stand up for me anywhere, but I end up pushing him away.
(Hours later) I staggered out of the bar, "Davis I can't believe am crying and am also been so emotional" I said over the phone to my best friend, the way I talked, I guess he knew am drunk. "Karma are you drunk" he asked "I? Am I really drunk"I laughed "Oh I think am really drunk"I said "Fuck! Where are you"They both ask, I laugh "Wow! am flying I can't believe ,am fucking flying"I laugh stupidly. "Karma pull ya self together and tell us where the fuck you are"Alena said. I become mute "Alena am sad, I cried after a very long time"I said sitting on the floor "I understand how ya feeling babe, just tell us where you are and we will pick you"Davis said "I don't even know"I said cleaning my tears "Fuck! try looking around, tell us what are the surrounding you"Alena said probably frustrated I nodded and look around, feeling sleepy "Everything here are double I can't see clearly" I said "Babe, please try"Alena begged, making me checked my surroundings very well "A subway, River and Bench"that was all I could say "Shit, that's fucking Seashore last subway down the town, how the hell did you get there"Davis yell. "Karma, listen to me carefully, stay there, you must not leave, and don't let ya guard down, give us some minutes we will be there"I nodded and hung up before collapsing on the bench. (Back to present).
I drank the hangover soup slowly, Davis and Alena Keep staring at me, without asking me any question, the awkward silence was killing me. I drop my spoon in frustration. "Aren't you going to question me, will you both just stare all day, don't you have questions, aren't you both curious"I asked looking at both of them "I wanted to, I couldn't have a good night sleep, everything keep on bothering me, I have many unanswered questions, how you got there yesterday, what makes go there, how come you want to go for a drink and didn't call either of us, what could it be that you badly need space, that you couldn't come here, what could it be that you think the best solution is staying alone, I waned to ask all those questions but Davis ask me not to say anything until you finally open up to us"Alena said. I smiled, Davis is so considerate. They both look at me and I sighed heavily, explaining everything that happened last night. "Did that old man really birth you guys or is there something your mother is not telling you"Alena said. Davis smacked her head, I smile. I always wonder that too "If the old man was no there father there's no way their mum will stand against it last night"Davis said and Alena agreed. I look at the wall clock I must do something to stop James. "Guys I have to go, I must do something to stop old man from sending James"I said standing up taking my purse "Let me drop you off"Davis said taking his jacket, "Thanks"I mutter, he patted my hair "Karma you are more than a friend to us, you are our sister, more like blood"Davis said Alena nodded standing up to hold my shoulder "We love you so much"Alena said "I love you too guys "I said and hug them together "Let get going"Davis said breaking the hug, I nodded, and hug Alena one last time before heading out.
"Old man please"I beg him on my kneel, "I have the final word as the head of Romano"He said "Please take back your word"I begged "Have you ever see Jordan take back his word, he has the final say, and come to think of it, James going to Tokyo is for the benefit of the family, as the heir of the Romano, he must go through this type of challenge, he must show us when Jordan is not there he is capable of ruling the Romano"Matteo said, I look at him in anger, I was boiling in anger but I have to control myself. "Matteo stay out of this, these is family matter, and the last time I check you're not a Romano"I said gently, he look at me in anger. Matteo is more like old man puppet, and he's in his early sixty, he somehow related to old man, through his mother side. "Old man, I promise to do anything you ask me to do"I said not minding the out come of what I just say. I actually don't mind, as long as it saves James, he's my first priority right now. "Do you just say anything"he said with evil smirk, I nodded not thinking twice, "Are you sure anything"he said emphasized the word *anything* I nodded "Okay deal, as long as you listen to me I will stop James from going"He said I look at him in surprise "Jordan you're joking right?"Matteo ask in surprise, "Am I the type that tells joke or am I a joke to you"old man said in his cold deadly voice. "That... that was not what I meant, I was saying, who will stop what going on in Tokyo, other than James"he said trying to convince old man "I will take care of it my way"he said nonchalantly, I knew it, this old man knew what he's doing,but am fine with whatever thing he will ask me to do, as long as I have save my brother. "And I know you as a smart lady, Karma, but don't try to do something stupid, I may have stop James from going but always remember I always have my way. Always"he said looking straight into my eyes.
