That girl, from the literal second they started running, kept yapping and yapping. It was a relentless barrage of frantic complaints and hysterical shouting that echoed off the cavern walls.
"Odin, you absolute lunatic!" Lucy cried out, her face flushed with exhaustion and panic. "Are you even listening?! We are running straight into a disaster! This is suicide! We are delivering ourselves to the end! You don't even have a Pokémon out! We are going to get completely overwhelmed, and for what?! You need to stop this madness!"
The verbal onslaught continued, she kept yapping and yapping, pounding against Odin's patience until his temper finally snapped.
"SHUT YOUR BITCH ASS UP!!" Odin roared, his voice booming with such sudden, raw authority that even the sprinting Geodude flinched. Odin glared at her, his eyes flashing with a dangerous edge. "Keep talking, Lucy! Keep distracting me while we're in the middle of a war zone and I will choke you to death, rape your dead body and then leave your dead body behind to deal with the collapse on your own! So Shut the fuck up and run!"
The sheer intensity of his outburst instantly silenced her. Lucy gasped, her face turning pale as she clamped her mouth shut, shocked by his sudden, explosive frustration.
Even with the silence, the atmosphere remained tense as they fluidly dodged fleeing wild Pokémon, navigated around falling debris, and leaped over obstacles.
Eventually, they rounded a massive, jagged corner, sliding down a steep incline, and emerged into a sprawling, hidden cavern chamber. The sight that greeted them instantly forced both Odin and Lucy to freeze in their tracks.
The chamber was breathtaking. It didn't feel like a cave; it felt like a secret sanctuary hidden deep within Mt. Moon. Lush patches of soft green grass blanketed the stone floor, interspersed with vibrant wildflower patches. A clear, pristine underground river cut through the center, its rushing water coming from an unknown source. High above, the ceiling was fractured, allowing beams of natural afternoon sunlight to cut through the mist like ethereal spotlights.
But this sanctuary was being violently ruined. In the center of the garden, the grass was stained with the signs of a brutal struggle. A Nidoking and Nidoqueen were fighting side-by-side with every ounce of their remaining strength.
They were losing. Both monarchs were injured and trembling with exhaustion, systematically hunted by a ruthless third party.
Standing on a raised mossy platform was a beautiful woman in her mid-thirties with medium-length, vibrant red hair. She wore a pristine, high-end white Team Rocket uniform that radiated supreme authority. What was truly unsettling was the serene smile on her lips as she stood perfectly poised, cradling a high-tech Pokémon egg incubator.
Her team was composed of terrifyingly powerful Pokémon: a Level 58 Arbok, a Level 55 Vileplume, and a Level 60 Honchkrow, all Platinum-Potential, alongside a lvl 53 Gold-Potential Hypno.
The air in this hidden sanctuary and oasis grew suffocatingly fucking dense, thick with the sharp tang of ozone, burning foliage, and the unmistakable metallic scent of freshly spilled blood. The sheer scale of the devastation happening before them shattered any remaining thoughts of petty bickering.
The battle was intense and tragic. The royal couple roared not with anger, but with the sorrow of those facing their end. They unleashed Earthquakes, Megahorns, and Flamethrowers, but the disparity in power was too vast. Arbok lunged with a brutal Poison Fang, Vileplume channeled a devastating Solar Beam, and Honchkrow battered them with Night Slashes and Dark Pulses.
Odin and Lucy crouched behind a fractured outcrop of rock, their breath catching as they bore witness to a systematic, high-tier execution. This wasn't a standard Pokémon battle—it was a brutal war of attrition, an absolute tragedy unfolding in the heart of a defiled sanctuary.
During this horrific spectacle, Lucy's eyes widened. "Odin..." she whispered, "That's Executive Ariana. One of the top leaders of the organization. We have to be careful."
"Careful?" Odin whispered, "isn't she like.. your aunt or something.. a distant relative you said?"
"Yeah, she is.. but the higher ups are always ruthless Odin.. family bonds barely ever mean a thing to them." Lucy whispered, clearly concerned but also confused as to why she is here.
Lucy and Odin began sneaking peaks at the battle and occasionally hiding back behind the rock.
"Didn't I tell you?" Odin said. Glancing at Lucy.
"Tell me what?" Lucy curiously glanced back at odin.
"That Ariana was going to be passing though Mt.moon before reaching Pewter City." Odin explained, still peaking time to time at the ongoing battle.
*Boom*
*Boom*
Lucy began rubbing her chin as she helplessly looked at Odin, giving him a sheepish grin. " to be honest.. it sounds familiar, but my brain isn't braining right now, I vaguely remember you telling me, she gave you a mission to collect moon stones and she was going to be delivering an egg for you, an ekans I believe.. but I can't remember if you said she was passing through Mt.moon."
"Ehh, whatever It's honestly not of any importance at the moment." Odin said.
Both Lucy and Odin's eyes drifted from the crater down to the high-tech egg incubator Ariana was cradling so dearly against her chest. The pieces of the puzzle immediately clicked into place for both of them. That incubator held the baby Ekans that Ariana had promised to deliver to him this afternoon. On her way across the mountain trails to Pewter City, she had clearly stumbled upon the royal Nido nest, and the situation had devolved into a ruthless cleansing of the territory.
The Level 52 Nidoking and Level 51 Nidoqueen stood back-to-back, their heavy, armor-like hides already mapped with deep gouges, scorched lacerations, and oozing punctures. They were a couple, a royal pair who had clearly ruled this deep sector of the mountain for decades, now reduced to a desperate, bleeding final stand. Opposing them was a terrifying wall of overwhelming power commanded by Executive Ariana.
"Arbok, tighten the noose. Use Coil to secure your footing, then lock them down with Wrap!" Ariana's voice rang out, cold, melodic, and entirely devoid of mercy.
Arbok slithered with sickening speed, its massive, muscular body twisting as it raised its stats, its scales scraping against the torn grass before it lunged forward like a striking whip.
The Nidoking let out a thunderous, defiant roar, his eyes bloodshot with adrenaline. He intercepted the giant serpent, his thick arms bulging as he unleashed a desperate Close Combat. His fists struck the Arbok with bone-shattering force, a rapid-fire barrage of raw, physical might that cracked the serpent's scales and forced a hiss of pain from its throat. But the distraction was exactly what Ariana anticipated.
"Hypno, seize the King. Psychic!" Ariana commanded smoothly.
Hypno stepped forward, its silver pendulum swinging in a dizzying, hypnotic rhythm. A violent, glowing aura of purple telekinetic energy erupted from its eyes, wrapping around the Nidoking mid-strike. The King froze, gasping as his massive body was violently lifted into the air, his muscles locked tight by the crushing weight of the psychic assault. The internal pressure was agonizing; blood began to leak from his nostrils as the psychic waves battered his brain.
"Nido!!" the Nidoqueen screamed in pure, visceral anguish.
Refusing to watch her mate be torn apart, the Queen slammed her heavy tail into the earth, channeling every ounce of her remaining elemental energy into a devastating Earthquake. The ground violently tore open, massive fissures ripping across the pristine garden floor. The shockwaves fractured the stone paths, forcing the Hypno to break its concentration as the earth shattered beneath its feet, dropping the Nidoking back to the dirt.
But the counterattack was instantly smothered.
From above, Honchkrow swooped through the sunlight filtering from the ceiling, its predatory eyes locked onto the exhausted Queen. With a deafening, mocking cry, it cloaked its wings in dark, razor-sharp energy, executing a flawless Night Slash. The blade of darkness sliced clean across the Nidoqueen's chest, carving through her thick hide. Blood sprayed onto the wildflowers below as she stumbled back, letting out a pained, guttural shriek.
"Vileplume, anchor them. Leech seed, Giga Drain followed by Solar Beam," Ariana ordered, a beautiful but sinister smile playing on her lips as she cradled the high-tech egg incubator tightly against her chest.
Vileplume's massive petals glowed with an eerie, parasitic green light. Glowing tendrils of energy erupted from the flower, latching onto the bleeding wounds of both the Nidoking and Nidoqueen. The royal couple writhed in agony as their very life force was aggressively siphoned away, their bodies growing visibly weaker, their eyes dimming as the Vileplume absorbed their vitality to heal the minor burns it had sustained.
The Nidoking, barely able to stand, looked at his trembling mate. His primal, protective instincts flared into absolute madness. Gathering the absolute last of his strength, the massive horn on his head began to glow with a blinding, spiral energy. He charged forward, unleashing a maximum-power Megahorn straight toward the Vileplume.
"Honchkrow, intercept with Aerial Ace. Arbok, Sludge Bomb!"
The Honchkrow moved like a blur of midnight, diving at an unavoidable angle to slam its heavy beak into the Nidoking's shoulder, disrupting his trajectory. Simultaneously, the Arbok unhinged its jaws and unleashed a barrage of highly corrosive, toxic sludge. The Sludge Bomb detonated directly against the Nidoking's face and chest. The acid hissed as it immediately began eating away at his flesh, mutating his skin into a ruined, purple, and rotting texture. The King collapsed to his knees, vomiting blood, his body violently shaking from the extreme internal and external poisoning.
The Nidoqueen ran to his side, shielding his broken body with her own. She fired a desperate Flamethrower to keep the Arbok back, followed by a wild Thunderbolt that cracked against the ceiling, but her moves were wild, uncoordinated, and fueled entirely by heartbreak. The Honchkrow effortlessly avoided the electricity, countering with a relentless barrage of Dark Pulses that repeatedly battered the Queen's back, cracking her armor and leaving her covered in deep, bleeding lacerations.
The battle had reached a gruesome, tragic climax. The beautiful garden was completely ruined—the grass burned, the river stained pink with blood, and the flowers trampled into the dirt.
Suddenly, amidst their agonizing pain, both the Nidoking and the Nidoqueen stiffened. Their dying instincts picked up a sudden, unique resonance in the air. They turned their heads, their failing vision locking onto Odin, who was watching from behind the rocks. They felt it deep in their core—Odin's Gold Rank Poison Affinity. It was a cosmic, unmatched fate with Poison-types, an elemental signature that resonated perfectly with their own biological makeup. They even felt a trace of Ground-type Affinity as well. The perfect human.
The royal couple glanced at Odin multiple times, their bleeding eyes carrying a profound, heavy weight. They knew they were going to die here. There was no escape from Ariana's high-level execution squad. But in their final, tragic moments, they wanted to execute a final gambit. They wanted to pass on their legacy, their true treasure, to someone who possessed the perfect affinity to raise it.
Odin felt the transmission hit him right in his chest. It was a raw, overwhelming flood of emotion—their tragedy, their deep love for each other, and the desperate, fiercely protective wish for their lineage to survive. As if guided by pure instinct, Odin's gaze flicked away from the battle, locking onto a hidden, heavily obscured alcove tucked away near the rushing riverbank. Something buried deep in his soul told him that fate wanted him exactly over there.
The Nidoking and Nidoqueen noticed that Odin had received the message. A heartbreaking, peaceful smile crossed both of their bloodied faces. They had secured their legacy.
With their final task complete, the two monarchs crawled toward each other. The Nidoking wrapped his heavy, acid-burned arms around the Nidoqueen, and the Queen buried her head against his chest, hugging each other tightly like a deeply loving couple during their final moments on earth. They stopped fighting. They simply held each other, bleeding into the torn grass, choosing to face the end together.
"Finish it," Ariana commanded coldly, her voice cutting through the tragic silence.
All four of her Pokémon moved in perfect, lethal synchronization, channeling their ultimate powers into a single point. Arbok coiled for a maximum-velocity Sludge Bomb, Vileplume unleashed a colossal, blinding pillar of energy via Solar Beam, Honchkrow converged with a roaring vortex of Dark Pulse, and Hypno focused its psychic powers, unleashing A Psyschock
The combined, high-level attacks detonated directly on top of the embracing couple.
BOOM!!!!
A catastrophic, apocalyptic explosion ripped through the center of the the beautiful sanctuary. The shockwave blew outward, shattering the nearby boulders and sending a massive plume of thick black smoke and fire billowing up to the fractured ceiling. The sheer force of the blast echoed through the entire mountain foundations of Mt. Moon.
When the smoke finally cleared, the tragic reality settled. The grass was scorched black, and in the center of a smoking crater, the royal couple was completely dismantled, mutilated—nothing but severed body parts, blood and residual static energy remained of the proud monarchs.
The two severed heads of The Queen and King were nesting together, even in death.
Beside Odin, Lucy was trembling slightly, the sheer, ruthless efficiency of the execution leaving her breathless. "Odin..." she whispered, her voice barely audible as she looked up at the red-haired woman standing on the platform. "I think high time we bolt the fuck out of here!"
Ariana slowly turned her head, her sharp, calculating gaze finally locking onto the two lower-ranking members standing in the shadows. She didn't offer a reprimand, nor did she question their presence. Instead, a beautiful, chilling, and deeply eerie smile spread across her flawless features.
She stepped down from the mossy ledge, her high-end white boots stepping over the charred earth. She began walking seductively toward them, her hips swaying with a hypnotic, dominant grace, the haunting smile never leaving her face. She glided past Lucy as if she didn't even exist, stopping directly in front of Odin.
She stepped so close that she was a literal inch away from his chest. The proximity was intensely intimate, the fragrance of her expensive perfume mixing with the scent of ozone and smoke. It looked as if she was about to lean up and passionately kiss him right there on the battlefield.
Instead, Ariana tilted her head, her eyes flashing with a predatory, yandere-like intensity. She leaned into his neck, taking a slow, deep sniff of his scent, before pulling back just enough to look into his eyes. She let out a soft, chilly sentence that sent a shiver straight down to the marrow of his bones.
"I can smell it... the scent of Fate is all over you."
