The next morning, Yang Ruoqian attacked speed.
Waiting had become valuable because it was free.
Free waiting had become trusted because Moon Mansion sold it badly.
Therefore, speed had to be ruined before anyone attached trust to it too.
Yang wrote three words on a sticky note:
Useless fast lane.
He looked at them.
They were ugly.
Good.
At nine, he called operations.
"Create a fast lane."
The operations manager looked cautious.
"For venue files?"
"Yes."
"What qualifies?"
"Nothing."
"Then no one can enter."
"Good."
"Then it is not a lane."
"Better."
The operations manager considered this seriously.
Yang disliked how seriously everyone could consider nonsense now.
"If no one can enter, it may reassure owners that we do not privilege anyone."
Yang tore the sticky note in half.
"Someone can enter."
"Who?"
"Bad files."
"Incomplete bad files?"
"Yes."
"Then we process them faster?"
"No. The fast lane must be useless."
The operations manager wrote nothing.
