Long Shao walked over from the crowd, frowning. "What happened?" he asked.
"Long Shao, our people have been killed," one of them reported.
Upon hearing this, Long Shao's expression changed. "Who dares to kill my men?" he roared angrily. "Are they seeking death? Find that person for me! I want to kill him!"
Listening from the shadows, Chu Hao sneered inwardly. I spared you this morning, yet you're still courting death, he thought.
The rustling of dry leaves underfoot startled someone. "Who's there?" the person shouted. A moment later, a shadow emerged, and Chu Hao appeared before them.
Seeing Chu Hao, Long Shao frowned. "What are you doing here?" he asked.
The events of the morning had profoundly embarrassed Long Shao. He was already seething with anger, so now, seeing Chu Hao, his expression was naturally unpleasant.
Pointing at the corpse, Chu Hao stated flatly, "I killed him."
