Chapter 1886 - Chapter 1422: Air Pump

A tube with an air intake valve on the side, the valve allows air in but not out, similar to the valve of a bellows. It's just an iron piece hanging inside the intake port, which is blown open when air enters, and closed when air exits, ensuring no leakage.

The head of this tube has a protruding outlet to easily attach a rubber tube.

If the connection between the pump's rubber tube and the outlet is not secure enough, the rubber tube is likely to come off.

Currently, he uses a lathe to process the outlet, making it sufficiently round and engraving some grooves on its surface.

After the rubber tube is slipped on, it is tightened with wire to prevent it from slipping off.

However, after frequent use, it still tends to fall off.

How exactly can this problem be improved?

He thought of using a structure similar to a valve stem, with a metal tube inside a knob with a screw, clamping the rubber tube internally.

A metal tube is inserted inside the rubber tube.
