***************************************

There was no star visible in the sky. The moon seemed to hide behind the clouds, making everything pitch black like there was no light left on the earth. The place was far from the city and the village. People rarely come here even in daylight since they believe it's haunted.

A tower-like old palace stood on one side of a graveyard which was once a luxurious place. Surrounding the graveyard, there were many trees without their leaves, as though they were skeletons of trees. All in one, the place looked lifeless and only inhuman beings could live.

All of a sudden, a boy ran into the graveyard, completely unaware of what was awaiting him. He had been chased by several men since they owed money from him.

He was wearing a black leather jacket with a black full pants. His black hair also shone just like his clothes. If it wasn't for his bright, beautiful face, his presence couldn't be noticed in the pitch black surroundings.

He sat near a tomb, leaning on the cement as he didn't notice the surroundings. All he could think about was what would happen if those men caught him. They might beat him into a pulp or just as they threatened, they'd sell him and make sure to get their money from the customers.

He breathed heavily while leaning, his legs gave out completely. Tears burst out from his eyes as he couldn't stop them from spilling anymore. What did he do to deserve this? How did his life turn to this? He sniffled, trying to wipe his tears with his sleeves.

That's when he heard a noise coming not far from him. He sat upright, pressing his mouth so that no noise could escape his mouth. His eyes widened with awareness, his heart kept thumping beneath his chest. If anything, he can't get caught. He mustn't.

As he kept hiding like that, he heard a distant murmur; "You think he went there?"

"If not then where would he go?"

"Fucking hell! If he went there, then he'd be dead!"

"Then, what about our money?"

"Leave it! Do you wanna fucking die too?"

After a few minutes when the voices disappeared, he slowly stood up. That was only when he noticed where he actually was standing. In front of him, the ancient gigantic castle stood. His heart raced. And suddenly, he couldn't move his legs.

All these while, he was taking shelter in a graveyard? Life was really cruel to him, wasn't it? A bitter chuckle escaped through his lips.

Without thinking anything, he slowly walked towards the castle.

The atmosphere was eerily quiet, and the darkness sent shivers down his spine.

Still, he stood by the giant door and gulped. His body started trembling, but when he thought of going back, he remembered those cruel men asking for money.

He shook his head slowly and touched the door. That's when he heard a creaking sound and the door opened slowly.

Inside, it looked totally empty, as though the place had been abandoned for a thousand years. The young man gulped again, his forehead sweating. Yet, out of curiosity, he entered.

Just then, the door closed with a loud noise, making him flinch. But, he couldn't turn his head. His body froze as he glanced around nervously.

After a moment, when he finally managed to calm down, he noticed the interior was not as dark as it was outside. And he could see everything clearly. As though it was still dawn outside, but he knew it was night. Did he misread the time? He wondered.

He took out his phone and checked the time. No, it was indeed two am at night. Then? Is there any light upstairs? He thought when he noticed a staircase leading to the second floor.

He found the place beautiful and peaceful at the same time. Though it looked a bit scary at first glance, he might get used to it if he lived here.

Wait! Live here?! Has he lost his mind? He should leave tomorrow morning. Yeah! Because he needs to earn money and pay the loan which he took for his grandmother's treatment. He took a long sigh and slowly walked towards the stairs.

He just needed a room now so that he could sleep till those loansharks would stop looking for him. Nothing more, nothing less.

While he ascended the stairs, several rooms caught his eyes. And each one of them seemed to light dimly.

"Woah! Does anyone live here? Then, shouldn't I have asked for their permission first?" He frowned, suddenly hesitating to go further.

After hesitating for a long moment, he finally started walking again.

He opened the door of a room slightly and asked, "Is someone here? I'm sorry to barge in all of a sudden." His voice was very gentle.

But, no answer came from the room. And it looked like nobody was inside.

That's why he opened the door completely and entered. The room was enormous, with only a huge bed in the middle of the room and a cupboard in the corner. There was also a tiny bedside table, but nothing was on the table.

Under the dim light, the young man could only see the furniture. Except for that, he noticed nothing.

As he was too tired, he lay on the bed. He never had the privilege of sleeping on something this soft. His face had a faint blush as he bounced his body on it slowly. In a blink of an eye, he fell asleep.

He woke up when he heard a light murmur. His eyes opened wide and he found some people just in front of the bed, talking to themselves in a low voice, as though they were afraid they'd wake him up.

He sprang up and sat down. Those people…

They looked just like ordinary people. But, every one of them was beautiful and young. Do they live here? He swallowed hard.

"I… I'm sorry." he bowed his head and tried to stand up.

"See? You woke him up!" a young lady shouted at another.

"It was you! I told you to keep quiet! What if he escapes too!" the other one bickered back.

"What should we do now, your majesty?" They all turned to a man who stood in the middle of the crowd of young women.

The man stepped closer. He wore a long, fashionable black overcoat, and a pair of white pants. His beautiful, orange hair reached his neck. He stared at the young man as though he had never seen someone like him.

"I… didn't know someone…live here…" the boy stuttered.

"It's okay!" the young man who dressed like a royal, approached him and smiled gently, leaving the ladies stunned behind him.

"You should get some more sleep." the orange haired man smiled again.

"Your majesty!" the ladies shouted.

He turned to them and gave them a cold glare which silenced every one of them. Then, he turned back to the boy and gently held his hand.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Drac Yeonjun." He smirked.

"D-drac?!" the boy flinched as he looked at the ladies who seemed to chuckle at him.

"May I know who you are?" Drac wasn't letting his hand go. He kept gazing at him, making him feel a bit uncomfortable.

"I'm Choi Soobin. Forgive my insolence. I should've asked your permission first." He said as he tried to take his hand back. But, the prince's grab was so tight that he couldn't free his hand.

"So, you're aware you should've asked permission first, huh?" Drac smirked. This time, his smirk felt far more vicious than anyone could ever imagine.

"Oh boy! You're fucked!" one of the ladies chuckled from behind.

Soobin blinked. "What?"

"Then, you have to repay me for your negligence." Yeonjun kissed Soobin's hand and then looked at him while smirking.

"Pay? I…" Soobin took his hand back and averted his gaze.

Yeonjun tilted his head, a bit disappointed since he didn't want to let go of Soobin's hand.

"…Don't have money." Soobin muttered. He didn't think he'd end up having more debt just because he needed shelter for one night.

"Oh! Worry not! I don't want your money!" Yeonjun sneered as he stood up and looked at Soobin. His retina seemed to lit up in a dangerous way.

"Then?" Soobin looked at the people in the room confusedly.

"What I need is your blood. You see, I can only survive on blood." Yeonjun smiled sweetly.

"What?!" Soobin stepped backwards while he kept glancing at the people who looked less like humans and more like vicious beings.

"Hey! Worry not! I won't suck your blood! All you need is to donate some of your blood, okay? Just lay here and they'll draw some blood. You can do this much, right?" Drac Yeonjun said, his smile lingering.

"O-oh!" Soobin sighed with relief and nodded.

"O-okay! If you need it that much!"

"Great!" Yeonjun smiled gently once again and turned to the ladies behind him.

"Prepare the procedure." He ordered and walked away.

"Please lay down there." One of the ladies gestured gently.

Another one came towards him. Standing by his side, she closed her eyes and started chanting something.

*Mmph!*

Soobin felt a pressure on his arm and a low groan came from his mouth without noticing himself.

"You should close your eyes if you can't bear the sight of blood." another beautiful lady who fetched a golden bowl said while sitting beside him.

Soobin closed his eyes, but he was too curious to keep his eyes closed.

The lady who held the bowl reached for Soobin's arm where he felt the pressure and then held his hand. She pressed a thin and sharp object in the index finger.

As soon as the needle pierced Soobin's finger, blood started spilling on the bowl.

Just then, Drac Yeonjun returned with a chair and took a seat beside the bed, watching the blood draw with a smile as though it was great entertainment to him.

*Ugh!* Soobin groaned, an unknown, weird sensation running through his veins. He squeezed his eyes shut for a minute, only to find himself stare at the bowl which was half filled by then.

After the bowl had been filled, it shone so brightly like the moon itself descended only in the room.

Then, all of a sudden, it vanished into the thin air. All of the ladies stood up and slowly left the room while stepping backwards.

Drac Yeonjun kept staring at Soobin, a smile appearing on the edge of his lips.

Soobin felt a bit awkward at first, but he was too lethargic to think about anything. He turned to the other side, placed his arm over his forehead and closed his eyes.

"Do you need anything more other than blood?" He asked without even looking at the prince.

"Don't you want to stop the bleeding?" Yeonjun asked, but his voice seemed completely different. As if he were trying to seduce someone inside the room.

Soobin looked at him confusedly. When he raised his hand towards his eyes, he noticed blood was still coming out of the tip of his finger.

"Shouldn't they have done something to stop it?" Soobin sat down and then looked at Yeonjun with his questioning eyes.

Yeonjun was still sitting while crossing his legs and bending forward. His chin rested on his palm. But seeing Soobin's questioning gaze, he turned to the other side, his ears tinted with a faint blush.

"Well… they wouldn't care. Want me to stop it?" He said without even looking at Soobin.

"Of course! I can't die here!" He said while pressing his index.

Yeonjun finally looked at Soobin and stood up, with a smirk on his face.

"Don't press it." He gently held Soobin's hand and sat beside him.

Then, without any warning, Yeonjun bent over and licked the place. He put Soobin's finger in his mouth. As he started to suck on the blood, a completely strange and different sensation ran down Soobin's body.

*Ngh!* A sound came through his lips.
