Kalyso's motivation was clear and straightforward. Like many monsters, he was searching for a worthy opponent.
A K4-Phantom wasn't supposed to be a strong enough opponent for a Baron, especially one like Kalyso, but Adam was indeed a special case.
The Befallen Crown had put a bounty on his head and was sending its forces to every corner of the world it could reach to kill him, and all of this was happening for one reason alone, they knew that Adam would soon become the next Second Rank Phantom.
When Adam first arrived at the Dark Shore, the Befallen Crown had limited information about him and wasn't yet entirely certain of this.
After all, there were many K3-Phantoms in the world with great potential, but most of them died before even reaching the middle of the K4 level, let alone breaking through the barrier to the Second Circle.
Now, no one had any doubts that Adam would do it if he wasn't stopped, that is, if he wasn't killed.
