Usually, that was enough to end the fight, but only when it was the final clash and both fighters had poured all their remaining strength or their last trump cards into that attack.
Durand used his strongest trump cards, but he wasn't ready for the final clash, and neither was Kamora. All she did was harness the power of her Operator. Lamor had given her a searing light as well as a hammer, which she combined with her Gray Jaw.
Well, there wouldn't be a final clash between them, and perhaps Kamora knew this, but Durand didn't.
He didn't expect that after just a single attack, he would suffer such devastating injuries.
In fact, Durand hadn't realized it yet, at least not fully.
His entire right side, whether it was the handle of his scythe, his shoulder, his leg, or his side with ribs and flesh, was devoured in a single bite from the golden jaw.
This was the result of just one of Kamora's strikes, and it was unlikely that Durand would survive it.
