Maxwell Peary never thought that Nia Mitchell would use his own words against him.
He had a bit of a feeling like shooting himself in the foot, which made him a bit unhappy.
It's really freaking annoying.
"I just didn't want you to be too bored at that time."
Maxwell immediately retorted. Initially, when he asked her to be the secretary, it was actually more about wanting to get along with her well.
Working here means they can spend more time together, right?
If they were apart, who knows when feelings would develop.
Of course, Nia never knew about the CEO's thoughts.
"I'm not bored at all."
She could find a job; there is no shortage of work in Capital Town. The key is whether she wants to do it.
She could take her time to find one, and besides, she hasn't officially graduated yet and still needs to sort out her thesis and such.
"If you're not bored, then start being a full-time housewife at home now."
Maxwell frowned unhappily. His good intentions were all ruined by her.
