Nia Mitchell sat over there, blinking, not really understanding what it all meant.
The little Oliver Anne kept talking about, who exactly is that?
She sat there and turned her head to glance at the CEO.
But the CEO was frowning, lost in thought, and didn't respond to her gaze.
"Maxwell, I really don't know what else to do. Back then… when I came back to the country, I wanted to move in and live near you, but you wouldn't agree. Now I'm really scared."
As she spoke, Anne Davidson kept staring at Maxwell Peary.
"If you're really that scared, you should go back to Provence. I honestly don't understand why you came back."
Maxwell Peary's words dealt a huge blow to Anne Davidson.
She had never imagined he would say something so heartless.
The way he was back then, he wasn't like this.
"Maxwell, how can you be like this? After all these years, am I really doomed to stay in a foreign land forever?"
She misses home too, she wants to come back and take a look too.
