"What's wrong?"
Maxwell Peary casually picked up the dry towel beside him and rubbed the water from his hair.
He was dripping all over; he couldn't even give her a hug.
"Nothing's wrong."
Nia Mitchell pouted and started to get out of bed.
"Anyway, you're sleeping in the study."
Tsk tsk.
This was obviously him having done something that made her upset.
She wasn't even banishing him to the Guest Room anymore, straight to the study.
"Nia Mitchell…"
He was just about to say something else when he saw a certain little Rabina Mitchell climb out of bed to put on her shoes, her collarbone down covered in blue and purple kiss marks.
And then…
The way she was walking seemed a little…
Ahem!
Smart as Maxwell Peary was, he instantly understood what her behavior this morning really meant.
So that's how it is!
"Baby."
Maxwell Peary followed her with a smile in his eyes, awkwardly rubbing the bridge of his nose.
