Just as she picked up the disposable chopsticks, a large hand reached over. He took the unopened chopsticks from her, separated them, and carefully inspected them for splinters. Kris Cooper then picked up a piece of green vegetable with the chopsticks and put it in his mouth. He chewed for a moment, his brows furrowing.
"It tastes awful."
She pursed her lips, not saying a word. Irritated, she snatched the spare chopsticks, broke them apart, and put a few grains of rice into her mouth.
While chewing her rice, she saw his long legs move around the coffee table. Then, the sofa beside her dipped as he sat down next to her.
She took some rice, and so did he. She picked up vegetables, and he did the same. He even snatched a piece of green vegetable she had just picked up.
Vera Wave had reached her limit. She slammed her chopsticks down with a CLACK and turned to glare at the man beside her.
"Kris Cooper, what on earth do you want?"
