Olivia Parker smiled and shook hands with him. The Doctor filled out the form, and Kasper Edith instructed Leah to handle the discharge paperwork, holding Olivia's hand as they walked out of the Emergency Room together.
Without driving, he took her straight to the street and hailed a taxi, giving the address of a restaurant.
"I've wanted to take you there for a while, but I've just been too busy recently."
With his arm around Olivia's waist, Kasper said.
The taxi headed toward the restaurant, and on the way, Kasper held her and introduced the restaurant and some of its signature dishes to her.
After arriving at the restaurant, the two found a quiet and secluded spot. After ordering, Kasper started talking about something extraordinary that happened during a previous visit to this place.
Olivia listened attentively, her smile always lingering on her lips.
Kasper was never one to talk much, but today, he was noticeably more talkative than usual.
