Sa Tian began to speak, "The informant is a distant relative of a warrior family. It was nothing much until a samurai from that family, who was close to him, was whipped and nearly died. In a moment of impulse, the warrior went to trouble Xinye. Normally, he wouldn't have been able to defeat Xinye, but Xinye had drunk a few more cups during lunch and was staggering. Caught off guard by the sudden attack, he ended up breaking a leg."
Sa Tian explained succinctly, and Bai Ruozhu shook her head, "Drinking really leads to trouble. If you can't handle your liquor, don't drink. Now he can't even protect himself and doesn't even have anyone by his side."
"Xinye's parents died early, and he's a loner, never bringing servants around," Sa Tian explained.
Jiang Yichun, however, was in high spirits, "I said he wasn't well-trained. Otherwise, how could he get his leg broken?"
