Shanhu gratefully thanked Bai Ruozhu and took a spoonful to taste. It was pleasantly tangy and spicy, but not too overpowering, soothing her nausea quite a bit.
Bai Ruozhu noticed that Shanhu's complexion looked better and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Beside her, Yaxi buried herself in her meal without uttering a word. Bai Ruozhu worried she might be nervous, so she let her sit next to her and served her plenty of dishes.
Yaxi glanced up and smiled at Bai Ruozhu, then quickly looked at Shanhu, her face somewhat uneasy.
Bai Ruozhu found it odd and wondered what was wrong with Yaxi.
As the meal concluded, Bai Ruozhu suggested arranging a room for Xu Chenzi, but she declined, saying she would share a room with her disciple to avoid troubling them.
