"Mr. Wilson, rest assured, I won't let my dad use money to humiliate you."
As she said this, she glanced around and asked:
"Where are my dad and my older brother?"
"They just stepped out for a bit, they'll be back soon."
"Oh."
Laura Jones didn't ask further, fearing William Wilson might feel nervous or uneasy at their home. As a dedicated fan-wife, she couldn't let her idol feel uncomfortable.
With this thought in mind, she began to reassure him again:
"Once my dad returns, I'll explain everything to him, don't worry."
"Ahem..."
William Wilson couldn't help but cough lightly, and began to clarify:
"No, you've misunderstood, Uncle Jones didn't humiliate me with money."
If this young lady were talking about someone else, he might play along and garner some sympathy, but he couldn't let the future father-in-law be falsely accused.
