After being sent to the hospital, Ye's mother was pushed into the operating room.
Ye Tianjing sat outside the operating room, looking vacant, and Ye's father sat with him.
"Don't worry too much, your mom won't blame you." He patted his shoulder.
Ye Tianjing wiped his face: "If only I hadn't argued with her then, she could have taken it. I could have gone downstairs to make a call, don't you think?"
"Who called you?" Ye's father asked.

Those two words are like a curse for Ye's mother; whenever they're heard, an attack is inevitable.
Ye's father showed no surprise.

Ye Tianjing wanted to say something more, but his phone rang again. He picked it up to see it was Ye Ranran calling.
Without much thought, he answered it.
"Ranran, something happened to mom," Ye Tianjing said.
