Alice felt incredibly warm in my arms, and honestly, it almost felt like our bodies were slowly melting together as we continued holding each other. Warm breaths escaped from both of our mouths with every kiss, blending together in the small space between us. The soft, wet sounds of our tongues sliding against each other echoed ever so slightly through the quiet night, making the silence around us feel even more intimate.
"A priestess... should remain pure..." she suddenly murmured between our breaths, almost as though she had been reminding herself of something important.
"Where did that come from all of a sudden?" I asked while looking at her with genuine curiosity.
"Nowhere, really," she replied with a small shake of her head. "It's just a mantra they'll have us recite during the priestess graduation ceremony next month."
"So after that, you'll officially become a priestess?"
"Yup," she answered with a gentle nod. "That's finally going to make everything official."
