Chapter 753 - Chapter 753: The Abyss

It was not that outer space itself was unusually dark. Rather, what lay ahead was an enormous spatial rift.

Nolan extended his spiritual power outward and discovered that the void actually devoured it. Compared to normal perception, the rate at which his spiritual power was consumed had increased more than tenfold.

Fortunately, his spiritual power was vast and of high quality. This negative effect posed little trouble for him.

Enduring the multiplied drain, Nolan continued probing deeper into the spatial rift. Then he saw another world.

It was a realm permeated everywhere by a pitch black aura. That aura, without question, was Abyssal power, so dense it had practically solidified.

For beings without adaptation to Abyssal power, remaining here for an extended period without protection would inevitably lead to being eroded by it and ultimately degenerating into Abyssal monsters.

Speaking of Abyssal monsters, Nolan sensed quite a number of them across this land.

Among them were some slightly stronger individuals, similar to the remains of Abyssal Demon Gods he had once discovered in the ruins of the Thousand Winds Temple.

If nothing unexpected was going on, those should be the Demon Gods(Aka Simillar to Archons of Teyvat) of the Abyss.

Continuing to expand his spiritual perception, Nolan saw even more. He realized that the so called Abyss was, in fact, also a world.

It was simply that the characteristics of this world were not particularly friendly toward ordinary life.

In terms of top tier combat strength, this world was actually comparable to Teyvat. After all, if it had far surpassed Teyvat, then the Heavenly Principles would not have been able to protect Teyvat with the False Sky.

For Nolan, destroying the Abyss would have been effortless. However, directly obliterating the entire Abyssal space would inevitably harm innocents.

After all, the Abyss was also a civilization, and a fairly advanced one at that.

The Primal Construct mechanisms of the King Deshret and Khaenri'ah's ley line technology both originated from the Abyss. Since it was a civilization, even if the majority sought to invade Teyvat, biological diversity meant that there were likely life forms within the Abyss who favored peace.

As a good person, Nolan would not casually involve innocents. But distinguishing them one by one would be rather troublesome.

After thinking for a moment, an idea quickly formed in his mind.

Without making a sound, Nolan unfolded the Void Star Sea, swiftly enveloping the entire Abyssal space within it.

With his current strength, accomplishing something like this was fairly simple.

It was merely covering a space roughly the size of Teyvat's planet. Effortless. It would not even alert anyone.

Once the Abyssal space was fully encompassed, Nolan pulled it downward into the Sea Of Quanta.

The Abyssal space was not a world bubble and thus could not survive within the Sea Of Quanta. So he teleported into the world bubble of the Assembled Continent instead.

Having merged more than thirty world bubbles, there was more than enough spare space to easily contain the entire Abyssal realm.

Nolan selected a suitable location some distance away from the Assembled Continent. Then he released the Abyssal space from the Void Star Sea.

The entire transfer process was silent and undetectable. When those in the Abyss stepped out to investigate, they would surely be astonished that such a massive Teyvat had suddenly vanished.

After placing it, Nolan also moved some Accursed Moons over. Even if there were not many in the Abyssal civilization who harbored goodwill, any improvement was better than none.

If, through this method, the Abyssal civilization could gradually transform into one that cherished peace, that would be even better.

After confirming there were no issues, Nolan returned to Celestia and informed the Heavenly Principles and the Sustainer that the Abyss had already been dealt with.

Though they found it hard to believe, when the two went out to confirm it themselves, they had no choice but to accept the unbelievable truth.

A crisis that had persisted for so many years had been resolved in an instant.

Although they were under Nolan's control, the fact that he had helped resolve Teyvat's greatest crisis inevitably caused the two of them to develop a measure of goodwill toward him.

Looking at the affection notifications on his character panel, Nolan felt a quiet sense of anticipation. He wondered what kind of Affection Skills they would grant him in the future.

Next, he planned to find the members of the Astral Express and inform them that it was time to "Trailblaze" the star system where Teyvat was located.

Through his perception, he discovered that the crew had been staying in Liyue Harbor these past few days. After all, Liyue was vast and rich in resources. It was not something one could fully explore in a short time.

Nolan checked Himeko's location and found her at the research institute of the Sweet Flower Merchant Association, where new technologies were usually studied and tested.

As an engineer, she seemed quite interested in Teyvat's elemental technology and rune formations.

Nolan teleported over to find Himeko and explained the situation to her.

Since this had been their objective from the start, there was naturally no reason to refuse. Moreover, arriving at an untrailblazed world like Teyvat granted the Astral Express a massive amount of Trailblaze power through the Path's feedback.

With sufficient energy, Trailblazing an entire star system was no issue at all.

The specific departure time was set for two days later. Before officially setting off, a bit of preparation was still required.

Soon, the two days passed. The Astral Express had completed its preparations, and Nolan had the Heavenly Principles dismantle the False Sky.

Because the Abyss had already been relocated into a world bubble, the transition from a false firmament to a true starry sky did not draw widespread attention.

Perhaps only a handful of powerful individuals, along with astrologers or scholars deeply versed in the study of the stars, might notice something unusual.

Even so, they would likely refrain from spreading rumors that could cause societal panic.

At nine in the morning, Teyvat time, Nolan arrived punctually at the Astral Express. In the Observation Car, the conductor Pom-Pom was reminding everyone of the matters requiring attention.

In truth, there was not much to worry about.

Trailblazing in an uncharted star system was not so different from normal navigation. The Astral Express, however, was special.

It was the creation of the Aeon of Trailblaze, Akivili, and possessed a portion of the authority of Trailblaze. As long as there was sufficient Trailblaze power, there was no place it could not reach.

Anything standing in its way could be smashed through, even the subspace crystal walls forged by the Aeon of Preservation or the Imaginary energy barriers that isolated star systems from one another.

As the Astral Express traveled, it left behind Silver Rails. These were manifestations of the "connection" aspect of the Trailblaze Path's authority.

The presence of Silver Rails signified the successful Trailblazing of a new star system. Other civilizations' vessels could then freely travel along these routes, unaffected by Imaginary energy barriers.

By traveling along the Silver Rails, the Astral Express could naturally accumulate Trailblaze power. As long as it did not stray from the path, it could even achieve a form of perpetual motion.

This was a unique characteristic of the Astral Express. Other starfaring vessels did not possess such capabilities.

After the conductor finished giving instructions, the Astral Express quickly moved into action. It activated its anti-gravity system and lifted off. As it ascended toward outer space, it simultaneously initiated its warp engine.

After a few seconds of startup time, the Astral Express vanished from space. When it reappeared, it had already arrived at the outer edge of the Teyvat star system.
