A phone smashed on the floor, and the butler who was standing at a little distance, flinched, not daring to look up.
It was around 4 am in the morning. The guests had all left and the mansion was completely empty, except for the family members and servants who were awake.
''Do you know something?" Nathan turned to Ryle who was idly sitting on the couch.
Just like the first night of his arrival, he had his legs crossed as he sipped on a cup of tea, nonchalant by the events transpiring around him.

''What do you expect me to know?" Ryle placed the cup down and looked at the man who was supposed to be his father. A major part of his life he had feared he would become another Nathan Kingsley and to annihilate that fear, he kept trying to become even worse so he could deal with this man, look him in the eye and stay unaffected.
