[MEETING]
"As you can see... from these files, we have legal rights to the objects in question."
Restore,a secret agent said as he pushes the files towards the lady who happens to be the consultation manager.
" You call them objects in question but you know what they are" the manager said.
" We can't risk sending disclosed information outside this office. We know of guards that recently installed security cameras here. You know this".
"What are you here for anyway? Save my time please. I've got a meeting at five" .
She checks her watch and realizes she's almost late.
"We came for the Possessed Objects"
Digital, another agent sitting beside Restore pointed out.
"Oh! " The manager exclaimed, " that's what you want". She starts clipping her nails pretending to show uninterest.
" I'm sorry but there are very reserved items. We keep it under our custody for public safety."
"Well, I'm sorry but we didn't come all the way here to expect disappointments". Digital said.
" There is an underground society in this city that desires to get their hands on the objects and they are dangerous. We can't risk that". The manager tried to bring up.
"You see." Restore brings out a card from inside his suit. " You're aligning with us now"
" What?!" The manager says in shock.
" You're the one that can show us where they are right? So you're going to take us there". He continues.
The manager starts shouting for aid,
" SECURITY!! GUARDS!! SECU...."
" You're security won't come if they can't open the door." Restore added.
The door bangs loudly and furiously. A dozen of security guards try to barge in but fail. The door is jammed.
"What is happening?... What in he..."
"See this card? I'm going to throw it up and count to five ". Restore cuts in. "If it lands and I haven't finished counting and you do not agree to my demands... well, you'll see".
He throws the card up,
" One..."
"Are you trying to threaten me?" The manager asked in disbelief, "coz, whatever you do isn't going to work on me."
Digital stands up from his seat and starts to lean in the wall and appears to be waiting for something to happen.
"It's better you come with us" . He snorted, " it's the best option you have now " .
" No" , she stayed persistent ." I will stay true to my job and protect the public".
"Right now public interest doesn't matter. What matter right now is your decision." Digital said.
"Two..." Restore called out.
" No....no my security will prevail..." She insisted.
The security continues to hit the door but all to no avail.
" The door's under a spell". Digital hinted.
The manager was surprised and puzzled. " Huh? A spell?!... How?...."
"Pay attention" Digital said to the manager while looking at the card still spinning in the air.
One of the security brings a rod they can use to break the door. " HO! " one of the them cried, " PULL DOWN!!!" .
The security jams the large rod on the door but it snaps in two to their surprise.
"What is this?!" , one said in shock.
" Three" Restore said.
Just then, the manager jumps from her desk and tries to stab Restore's eye with a pen, Digital immediately effortlessly pins her to the wall.
"So..fast..." She groans. " let me go".
" Oh dear Mary. It's almost time. " Digital eerily said to her.
"How do you know my name? .... Who are you people? " Mary asked.
" 3rd Board Division Doctors of WitchCraft and Voodoo Spiritual Sorcery or Native Doctors for short".
" Native? " That name was familiar to her. She gasped,"You're part of the underground society". She then looks at Restore, "And so is he" .
"Four"
Restore called out just as the card started descending.
" Make your decision now". Digital said to Mary, still holding her.
She shakes her head in refusal.
Digital gave a long sigh, " Look, you're struggling over nothing. Just show us the location of the objects and we'll be on our way".
" NO!" She barked, "I won't do that. You people are evil. I won't show them to you" She still remained strong willed.
"Hmph" Restore says in disgust.
The card falls to the floor.
" Five ".
Mary gulps and prepares for the worst to happen.
Restore stares at the card for a while, picks it up slowly and puts it back in his suit. "Do it". He ordered.
Digital removes his glasses and tells Mary to look at his eyes. She tries to tilt her head but a force fixes her eyes to his. She then starts shaking violently and starts foaming.
Digital puts his glasses back on while Mary falls down to her knees, pants for a while , looks up to Digital wearily.
" What.. What did you do to me?" She uttered.
" Now. Do you mind showing us were the objects are?" Restore said.
"Yes. I will." Mary suddenly stands up and starts heading to the door. "I will show you now".
" Good" Restore said with a smirk.
Just then her thoughts were filling up like words in her mind. She felt like a part of her was trapped inside there and she could no longer do or say things willingly.
What is going on? Am I doing this? Did I just say yes to them? Am I really going to lead them to it? This is bad.
"COLOGNE!!! " Mary called.
He rushes to the office. " Yes ma'am ". He reported.
" Show these two gentlemen to the 13th floor ". She ordered.
"Yes! Certainly ma'am. Right this way Sirs." He leads them to the elevator which takes them to the 13th floor.
Wait . Did I just call them gentlemen? Moreover, Cologne is supposed to be in a gathering now, why is he here? And where did all the security go to? Did they just disappear?
They come out of the elevator. Mary, and the two agents walk through the long corridor where they meet a room in the end tagged 'DO NOT ENTER, DANGEROUS OBJECTS HIDDEN FOR PUBLIC SAFETY'
"Right through the door" she assured them.
"I'll open it " Digital said as he performs a hand sign on the door to make it open. "There"
They enter in an old stuffy room and see a box with ' POSITIVELY DO NOT OPEN ' inscribed on it.
" They are in here" she says as she rips it open and shows it to them.
Restore lets out a hiss. "Is this a joke to you?"
"No"
" There's nothing here".
Mary looks inside and gasps. She was shocked. " They were here... I knew it.. How..? How did this happen?"
"How many were we expecting?" Restore asked.
"Four" she replied still shaking.
" What d' you think happened? " Digital asked to Restore
" It's obvious. Someone beat us to them ".
" No good. We were looking for the six of them. Just as we were finally getting a lead.."
" You can let her out now . We wasted precious time with her."
" I can't . I put a powerful one inside her coz I thought the objects were here. So unless she finds the objects... She's trapped."
" I'll FIND THEM..." She muttered. "I'LL FIND THEM.... IF IT'S..... THE LAST THING..... I DO."
Restore and Digital vanishes.
