"Do the heavens tower at nine levels? Is Upper City merely one of them?
Lower City has thirty-nine, who lends a hand to Azure Cloud's ladder?"
This widely circulated short poem in You Nation captures the simple feelings of You Nation's people towards Upper City.
You Nation is a Heaven Blessed Nation, and Upper City is where the upper class resides.
The most prosperous city sits on the back of a Giant Turtle, patrolling the borders of the nation. Meanwhile, the people living in Lower City can only gaze longingly twice a year. Of course, they wish to ascend, to become distinguished, yet pathways into Upper City have always been scarce. The competition for the position of City Lord in various cities is fierce beyond measure.
Many years ago, Upper City was also a youth's dream.
Today he treads it underfoot.
These shattered walls, the deaths of flesh-eaters, resemble the wish he held in his heart when he left this nation.
But was it truly enough?
