One of the black-clad adversaries gave a cold snort and shouted into the cave, "Come out, your tricks have been uncovered, and they won't work anymore."
Baili Xia remained motionless, hidden behind the corner.
The first layer of defense had been breached, now it was time for an actual fight.
She listened intently, paying close attention to the footsteps.
The two were getting closer, their flashlights sweeping through the cave.
As the light swept over from the corner and onto the other side, Baili Xia squinted her eyes and suddenly dashed out.
Silver needles shot towards them again, only to hear two thuds as they were intercepted by the tree bark in their hands.
Baili Xia didn't hesitate and immediately hid back behind the corner.
This time, following the direction of the hidden weapon, the black-clad adversaries instantly pinpointed Baili Xia's position.
"Over there," shouted one of the black-clad men.
He waved his hand, signaling for his men to follow.
