Well… I shouldn't be surprised… But yeah… The food here is nice enough to eat but I can't shake off the feeling that it's missing something…
It was the same with Merina's cooking so it honestly wasn't really that surprising…
I guess my lack of a reaction must have made Vieretha realised that something was amiss as she gave me a pointed look, "Was the food not to your liking, Lady Tera?"
I briefly considered lying to her but the Dragon woman was staring at me so intensely that I had a feeling that she would instantly figure it out even if I were to lie.
Thus, I just let out a sigh instead, "Well… To be honest… It could be better…"
I noticed the chef tense up out of the corner of my eye, right before all the colour seemed to drain out from her face.
On the other hand, Vieretha looked like someone just told her that something had just ruined her soup that she had left to simmer for hours or something.
