It was matchday 2 for Group D and Nigeria was going up against Sudan for the chance to take away another three points and qualify for the knockout stage of the competition.
Unlike Nigeria, Sudan had only gotten a single point against Guinea Bissau after drawing against them so they had it all to play for here otherwise they could kiss any chances of qualifying goodbye.
They would be desperate for a win or at the very list to not lose too badly against Nigeria so they could hold an advantage in goal difference against the other teams.
Thus Nigeria and Sudan were back at the Roumde Adjia stadium for the first match of the day at the stadium.
The Nigerian Supa Eagles came out again with the same starting lineup, but surprisingly, their formation had changed despite using the same lineup.
