APOLLO'S POV
[A kick, then a swing.]
My body moved, narrowly dodging Bane as it almost cut through my arm.
[Here comes the prince.]
I nodded.
My skill, Light of Aegis, activated to block him.
I was about to cast a spell when Jeremiah suddenly took over the construct and reshaped it into a cage, trapping Joaquin inside.
I gave him a thumbs-up inside my head as I swung my staff.
However—
Bane came again.
It blocked my strike.
[Retreat. The skill won't last much longer.]
I immediately heeded his warning and zoomed backward before the enemy prince could launch a counterattack.
[Joaquin above. Lorenzo in front.]
"Okay."
I waved my hand.
Gravity descended upon Joaquin, slamming him face-first into the ground like a bird shot from the sky.
At the same time, Light of Aegis intercepted Bane before driving forward and stabbing directly toward Lorenzo's stomach.
"No!"
I heard Joaquin's voice.
It sounded like a cry of concern.
Yet somehow it felt hollow.
Artificial.
