After arriving at his personal quarter, Naruto didn't hesitate; he entered and locked the door.
He didn't plan to leave the room until the 2nd test finished or some unforeseen problem occurred that needed his immediate action.
Naruto, who currently lies in the bed with his eyes closed. His breathing slowly became steady, and his chest rose and fell in slow, steady rhythm.
If one looks at Naruto right now, they will immediately tell that he is currently asleep, but for those who have special methods, they would notice something abnormal that is currently happening that escapes almost everyone's senses.
While Naruto is 'sleeping,' Satsuki and Hinata don't rest for the time being and instead make their way towards the canteen. It's almost noon, and the two girls are hungry, especially after using most of their energy fighting Orochimaru.
Just as they are about to get closer to the canteen area, both girls notice someone in the corridor who seems to be walking towards the canteen.
This person had long yellow hair tied in a ponytail and was wearing a light yellow kimono with black trimming and a thick black sash at the waist and black tights and brown sandals.
This person is none other than Keimei.
Hinata and Satsuki glance at each other for a moment. They saw a shocked feeling within their eyes.
How can they not be shocked? The two girls didn't know the fact that Keimei's team already got the two scrolls necessary to pass the test.
Of course it wasn't really Hinata's and Satsuki's fault for not knowing this since everyone in that area was just exhausted from fighting Orochimaru and didn't have time to care if other teams had the necessary scrolls to pass the test.
In fact, they didn't mention in fear that they would attack each other despite being in the same village; after all, this is the Chunin Exams.
This is also the reason why Hinata and Satsuki, who only slightly recovered, accept Naruto's decision of leaving since they didn't want others to know the fact that they had the necessary scrolls.
Keimei, who is heading her way towards the canteen, is incredibly hungry. Her team didn't have time to eat breakfast as they were attacked by more than 3 Genin teams from the Village Hidden in the Stone that worked together.
While Keimei could end the fight with her might, she suppressed herself not only because she didn't want others to know her full strength yet but also to give her teammates some experience.
After fighting for some time, the Keimei's team manages to fight their enemy to stand still. The Stone Ninjas were forced to retreat, seeing the fact that they bit off more than they could chew.
The Keimei team didn't have any thoughts of making breakfast after that and decided to quickly head towards the Central Tower; unfortunately a few minutes later, they were forced to fight Orochimaru.
Keimei senses someone looking at her from behind and turns her head to see the people staring at her, and her eyes flash in surprise after seeing Hinata and Satsuki.
'It seems our group wasn't the only one lucky enough to acquire the two scrolls this quickly,' Keimei thought.
She learned from the Chunin that suddenly appeared in the summoning scrolls the fact that there are already teams that arrive before them—3 teams, to be precise—but she never expected Team 13 to be one of them.
Keimei thought the reason why Team 13 hurriedly left the area was that they wanted to search for the second scroll. She knows Naruto's strength but also guesses that he wouldn't necessarily make a move unless provoked, which just showed in the fight against Orochimaru.
"I didn't expect to meet the two of you this quickly," Keimei said softly as she turned her body to face the two.
"So do I," Satsuki responds.
"When did your team manage to get the 2nd scroll?" Hinata asks softly, voice filled with curiosity.
"In the middle of the night when a team dares to steal our scroll during our sleep," Keimei responds calmly.
"What about you?" Keimei asks.
"We managed to get ours yesterday afternoon after someone also tried to sneak attack us," Hinata answered softly.
"Then why would your team not make your way towards the Central Tower?" Keimei asks once again.
"It's for safety reasons," Satsuki answers calmly while Hinata can only wryly smile.
While it was indeed for safety reasons, there was another reason, and that was Satsuki and Hinata trying to make Naruto rest for the time being, yet such a plan became useless since Naruto refused to sleep throughout the entire night.
Thinking about what happened really makes Satsuki angry, especially after seeing Naruto's inaction earlier this day. She unconsciously clenches her fist, which something doesn't go unnoticed by Hinata and Keimei, but both girls act oblivious about it.
Hinata acts oblivious since she guesses the reason behind and understands her feelings. She, like Satsuki, feels disappointment in Naruto's inaction.
While she had some understanding about it thanks to her mother telling her about some of Naruto's past, while she understands, it doesn't mean she likes it.
Hinata can only hope that Naruto will change his view about their team and become truly part of it, unlike the current status.
Keimei acts oblivious, like Hinata guesses the reason behind it, but unlike Hinata, who understands Satsuki's feelings and deciphers Naruto's inaction, Keimei comprehends the wrong meaning about Keimei understanding Naruto's inaction and the reason behind it.
She wasn't surprised by his inaction since Keimei believes that Naruto wouldn't really gain anything fighting Orochimaru. While it might save his teammates from any injuries, that wasn't a benefit for him.
The only reason why Naruto still remains working as a Jujutsu Sorcerer despite the fact that aside from the money he receives, which really isn't necessary as Naruto is unbelievably rich already, he really doesn't get any benefits from it is due to his plan that he was brewing for years.
Keimei didn't know Naruto's grand plan, but she already guessed thousands of possible plans that he was currently working on. The only question is, are her guesses correct or at least close to the true answer?
Probably only Naruto is the one who can answer her question.
"Do you have any idea about the people who managed to enter the Central Tower before us?" Keimei asks, cutting the dead silence between them like a hot knife through butter.
"You didn't know?" Hinata asks back with her voice hinting with shock.
She believes that Keimei should know the people who enter the Central Tower since such information is pretty much common to all the ninjas in the tower but also the fact that Keimei usually gathers any relevant information after arriving at a new area.
Hinata saw this kind of action from Keimei when they were younger, which surprises Hinata as they were inside the village at the time and shouldn't gather any intel since there would be no enemy that would attack them.
Though at that time Hinata really didn't ask the reason behind Keimei's action.
"I really don't have time to talk with the ninja in the tower since I had to take both Karin and Hikari to the infirmary. The only reason why I didn't stay in the infirmary and wait for them to fully heal was due to me being hungry," Keimei answered, his voice hinting with exhaustion.
"I see," Hinata whispers to herself. "The one who arrived the first, according to Tsunade-sama, was the Genin team from the Village Hidden in the Sand. The one who Kabuto mentioned."
Keimei secretly frowned after hearing Kabuto's name. She was greatly suspicious about him since he had such information from the geniuses in the exam, especially those who only keep secrets like the mission the team takes.
If she were greatly inexperienced like the other newly graduated ninjas from her batch—except for Naruto, of course—she wouldn't be able to tell something was wrong with Kabuto.
"The second one who arrives is Team 7, which isn't really surprising if you think about it. They were, after all, the most powerful Genin team in the Leaf," Hinata finishes.
Keimei didn't comment about the last part but inwardly shake her head. Keimei believes that with her team's level of teamwork, they can at least defeat Team 7 without her going all out.
Such thoughts were obviously kept secret from the other since she didn't want the other to know what her team was fully capable of.
"It seems like we had to keep an eye out for the Sand Ninja. I believe Kabuto also didn't fully know that person's capabilities fully well," Keimei said with a small lie.
She believes that Kabuto fully knows that person's capabilities but just didn't provide more information for an unknown reason. Still, this suspicion cannot be told to others recklessly, especially since she doesn't have any concrete proof about Kabuto's abnormality.
"Indeed," Hinata nods, face turning a bit serious.
Hinata didn't know what kind of test they were about to take after the 2nd one finished, but one thing was for sure: the Sand Ninja would definitely be the hardest obstacle they faced, especially if Naruto once again remained inactive.
