"Who's the current Patriach of Varn family?"
There's just no way Varyn is the current patriach.
He doesn't even shrae his last name with them.
Alex suspected than he marry into the family, or at least adopted.
Then Varyn spoke again. "You're smart. Why don't we both take a step back from this?"
Alex leaned back, than let out a chuckle. "A step back? That's already too late. The moment you make a move to that company, your fate already sealed.."
Rovan was still on the floor. His hands were pressed against the cracked tile.
He didn't dare look up.
Varyn continued, "If you want an explanation, I can give you one. How about we meet up."
Alex's eyes narrowed slightly. "Your Patriach or Darius."
A pause.
"Why not me?" Varyn said.
Alex's smiled "Does Darius answers to you?"
"No," Varyn said. "Darius answers to the family. Same as me."
"Than you're nothing more than the family dog," Alex said. "Do you think you had the authority to negotiate with me?"
