Chapter 129: Leaving Sarion

- Othinus -

As her master spoke to the child, Kenya, she laughed internally. Everything was going rather well. From what she could sense, Elmesia was falling into her trap quite perfectly.

She was doing something similar to what she had been doing to Luminous behind the scenes. Her Master seemed to find Elmesia attractive and enjoyed her personality, and Elmesia was the leader of a powerful nation and a powerful High Elf herself, and so she began planning on how to get Elmesia wrapped around her Master's finger, just as she had been doing to Luminous.

Though for Luminous she had long since stopped doing anything, almost from the first time her Master and Luminous became lovers in fact. Othinus felt she understood Luminous well enough to know that she was already all but her Master's.

Luminous, of course, was still the person she always was. She wouldn't let go of her pride or anything. She was still the same haughty True Ancestor, and her Master wouldn't want that to change since that was the essence of who Luminous was.

She would be a shell of the person she was if things like that changed unnaturally, but Luminous' care for her Master could not be understated, which was all Othinus desired. More people who were willing to aid her Master should he need it was her only objective with all this.

Nothing else of course.

She hadn't even truly done anything major to Luminous, in fact. Her Master and Luminous were already friendly and compatible. Luminous had done almost all the work herself, no doubt due to some delusion of hers.

All Othinus did was change some of her Master's traits via Lover to make him irresistible to Luminous. His energy, his semen, his presence; all of it was irresistible to Luminous during their joining.

The Lust Energy he released into her during their union was enough to snap the mind of even some of the strongest wills in this world. Of course, that wasn't enough to truly harm someone her Master had chosen like Luminous, but it still had a passive effect, she was certain of that. It's to the point that, even now, she didn't doubt that Luminous internally craved for her Master.

Though the same would normally be said of her Master due to the Lust Energy Luminous released into him. Of course, as his Manas, she quickly got rid of any of the more addictive effects of Lust Energy, giving him only the pleasure.

For Elmesia, she had gone on a different route. Though, even then, she hadn't had to do much. Her Master would have ended up on this path no matter what due to Elmesia's own decisions. She merely increased the effects, making Elmesia feel much more than she ordinarily would have.

Her Master's natural charisma, his growing influence, and Elmesia's own curiosity had already set things in motion.

So when her Master began teasing Elmesia through Evelyn with Lover recently, she had increased its effects through the bond between Evelyn and Elmesia, creating an allure of sorts that would draw Elmesia deeper into her Master's web.

Pleasure was a good starting point to initiate a deeper bond between her Master and Elmesia, addictive pleasure even more. Now everything would merely work naturally. Her Master would continue to toy with Elmesia through Evelyn and Elmesia's interest would continue to rise, especially with what she had done for Elmesia and her family.

Her Master had already proven himself invaluable to Elmesia, not just as a potential partner, but as someone who had provided her with undeniable benefits. Power, security, and a level of influence that even the mighty Divine Empress could not ignore. It would bring her closer to Tempest by extension as well, due to the close relationship between her Master and Rimuru.

Othinus understood rulers. She understood how they thought, how they justified their emotions, how they convinced themselves of their own choices.

Elmesia would not fall blindly. No, she would reason that aligning herself with her Master was the most logical, most advantageous path. She would tell herself that it was strategic, that it was for the good of her people, for the stability of her nation. And yet, beneath that layer of rationality, there would be something far more primal at work.

Not to pleasure alone, as that was weak. But to him. To his presence, his attention, his approval. To the way he made her feel, cherished, desired, seen.

It was a method Othinus had perfected. There was no need for crude mind control, no need for force. True loyalty, true devotion, came from within.

With that out of the way and running passively, she could focus her attention on more of her side tasks. Quite a lot of her processing power was always devoted to recreating and deciphering Veldanava's memories, but even then she was capable of much.

As she continued to reconstruct and analyze the data of the Virtue Series Skills she had data on she kept looking for something hidden. Veldanava was not foolish enough to have whatever control circuits they may have been easy to find, if they existed at all, as all this was only her Master's theory.

She had been scouring the data for quite some time now and had failed to find anything, she was beginning to doubt if the control circuits her Master theorized even existed.

But just as she was thinking that, she found it.

It seems Master was right about this.

Though she should have expected as much.

The control circuits did in fact exist within the Virtue Series Skills she had data on. She would have to tell her Master about them. Her Master personally did not need to worry about them as the only Skill of his that even originated from a Virtue Series Skill was Ouroboros, Lord of Infinity. And now that she knew what to look for, she could see that there was no control circuit on it, likely having been purified off during Uriel's evolution.

She couldn't wait to tell her Master and receive his praise! But right now he was enjoying speaking with Kenya, so she would tell him afterwards.

She wished to warn her little sister as well, as despite their competitive relationship, wholly on Raphael's end since Othinus was clearly the superior one between them even back as an Ultimate Skill, she did still care for her little sister.

She was sure Raphael wouldn't accept her help, however. Raphael was prideful in its own abilities, and likely didn't want her close to Rimuru at all. Especially after Rimuru seems to have learned about her Master's ability to copy Skills and other abilities.

Raphael was paranoid enough to go even more crazy when learning that. In fact, she was rather curious what Raphael's reaction to that was. She was sure it was amusing...

Now the other main thing she was examining was actually an event occurring within her own Master. Ever since evolving into a Manas, she had been able to detect something new within Infinity Space. She did not know if it was always there and she merely was not capable of detecting it back when she was only an Ultimate Skill, or if it was a more recent process.

She did not have much data on it yet, but something from Veldanava's memory made it seem rather familiar. She hadn't gotten to the core of Veldanava's memories yet, as the more influential and important the memory, the longer it took and the harder it was to recreate.

So she unfortunately couldn't examine the memories to immediately point out what was occurring within her Master.

Infinity Space was an Imaginary Space that was infinitely expanding. It wouldn't be wrong to consider it something with the potential to sprout into its own universe or multiverse should the right steps be taken.

It was like some of those cultivation novels in her Master's memories, with people having entire worlds within them that they were practically the god of.

Of course she didn't think her Master particularly wanted that, so it likely wouldn't be happening, but that didn't mean the potential wasn't there.

What she was detecting now in Infinity Space seemed to be some new form of phenomena. It was something she had never seen or heard of before.

It was occurring in a section of Infinity Space in which there was nothing. The Information Particles themselves had no data inscribed into them. It was a true area of nothingness.

Though, unlike those cultivation novels, that wasn't some incredible energy. No, in this case, it was more of an event that was occurring as the "nothingness" expanded in Infinity Space, infecting the surrounding Information Particles, erasing their data, essentially reducing them to nothingness. This "event" took the form of an energy, but lacked all the properties of one.

In theory, the energy was being slowly generated out of what seemed to be nothing, her analysis on it was slow, and the quantity of the mysterious energy was far lower than just minimal. She didn't have a large enough sample to get a proper analysis on it, so she was stuck learning from the scraps, which made it difficult.

Even Brahma, Lord of Creation couldn't be used to create more of this energy, as she did not understand the energy enough to do that.

From the incomplete analysis she had done so far, she believed that this phenomena she was observing could be reproduced if analyzed enough. It would likely require incredible amounts of processing power to truly recreate the phenomena of "spreading nothingness", but it was something she would work towards.

This ability perhaps had destructive potential matching that of stardust, but that was all she was able to determine until now.

She would just have to wait for something to change. Until then, she would keep the energy quarantined within Infinity Space.

- Felix -

I continued to listen to Kenya speak a bit about what he had been doing since I left him in Elmesia's care. When I first arrived at the fountain that served as the center point of the Divine Tree according to Elmesia, he had been meditating.

Elmesia did say that if one could sort of become in tune with the spirit of the Divine Tree, they could gain a bit of a power boost. Some even evolved into Enlightened. Elmesia had tasked Kenya to come here and meditate fairly often for that purpose.

Apparently, Elmesia hadn't done much hands-on training herself so far, which made sense. Kenya hadn't been here long. What he could learn from her at this point could be taught by others. It was only when he got to the more advanced stuff that her help would actually make a large difference.

She did give him lectures and such about the world, the various races, who not to mess with, as well as the importance of various techniques and whatnot. She just wasn't personally training him in combat yet.

I nodded as Kenya continued explaining his experiences, his voice carrying the same eagerness and energy I had come to expect from a kid like him. It was clear he was taking Elmesia's guidance seriously, even if the results weren't immediate, which was good.

As for the Divine Tree, from what I could feel, it seemed as if the Divine Tree's energy was subtle. It would need patience and deep concentration to get in "sync" with it like what Elmesia described; two things that probably didn't come naturally to someone like Kenya.

"That makes sense." I mused, crossing my arms. "Elmesia's not the type to hold your hand through everything. If you can't handle the basics on your own, then you're not ready for what she can really teach you."

Kenya grinned at that. "Mhmm! I've been doing my best to get in tune with the Divine Tree's energy."

"Don't force it," I advised. "Let it come to you naturally. The more you try to chase it, the further it'll slip from your grasp."

Kenya blinked, then huffed. "You sound just like teacher."

I chuckled at that. "I'll take that as a compliment."

As Kenya continued to ramble on, I felt Elmesia send me a Thought Communication.

I used Thought Acceleration and linked with her. "Felix, thank you for being patient. I apologize for basically kicking a guest out." Elmesia began.

"It's fine, I understand your situation."

"Thank you. My father, mother, and I can have our more in depth reunion later. You are free to come back now so we can finish up our discussion."

"I'm on my way."

"I need to leave now, Kenya. It seems Elmesia is done with what she was doing." I said as I stood up.

Kenya nodded. "Okay!"

"I'll tell Elmesia to send you over to Tempest some time so you can catch up with your friends." I said as I walked away.

I could sense the spike in excitement from him. "Thank you!"

I raised one of my hands, waving at him as a portal opened in front of me.

As I stepped through, I could feel Othinus wished to speak with me, so I activated Thought Acceleration again.

'What's up Othinus?'

"I did not wish to interrupt, but now that you are free, I would like to inform you that your guess about Michael, Lord of Justice was correct. The Virtue Series Skills I have data on all seem to have control circuits hidden deep within them, allowing the holder of Michael, Lord of Justice to exert authority over the Skills, and through the Skills, the users."

'That's troublesome.'

"Indeed. Your own Ultimate Skills are safe from this as Ouroboros, Lord of Infinity seems to have outgrown the control circuit."

That means that evolution is one way to take care of it then.

I wasn't worried about myself in the first place, I believed in Othinus 100% to protect me from that kind of attack.

"Of course, Master!"

Rimuru and anyone else with a Virtue Series was in trouble though. Maybe there even existed an Angelic Series of Ultimate Skills that was also weak to Michael's control like the Demonic Series that Arcueid, Megumin, and Lalatina possessed.

Maybe it was a good thing that Hinata didn't end up with Sariel, Lord of Hope. But if it accepted Chloe, that would be troublesome. Though she did have a Manas. Hopefully it was capable of fighting off Michael's control in some way.

My main concern was Rimuru and possibly Leon and Velzard. Rimuru had not just one, but two Virtue Series Skills. Both of them are extremely important Skills to him, so I'll have to warn him. I'll do that when I visit him just before leaving this world.

I think the threat of Michael is nonexistent for the time being while the Eastern Empire makes their preparations.

I considered calling for a Walpurgis, but I didn't think that was necessary at this point. It would be easier to just personally warn those that I knew had Virtue Skills, rather than create a mass panic within the Council.

If distrust started to bloom now, that could be troublesome.

All I had to do in that case was warn Rimuru, Leon, Velzard, and probably Chloe.

I'd tell Rimuru to deal with Dino as he pleased, as neither of us were entirely sure about his real abilities. Though, I was getting close to being able to see through whatever veil he had over himself.

All that was needed was calculation power, in the end. Once I had enough, not even a seal made by God himself could stop me.

I quickly sent a Thought Communication to Guy, using the Demon Lord Ring as a conduit.

"Hmm? Felix?"

"Guy, I just learned something I thought would be useful for Velzard to know. Convey this to her for me, would you?"

"Tsk. I don't like being told what to do, but whatever. What is it? If it's important I'll do it."

I went on to explain the deal about control circuits to him, and that I theorized Michael may be able to use the control circuits for nefarious means. I did mention that there was a chance Gabriel had no control circuit, as it was given by Veldanava personally, but the warning didn't hurt.

I also told him that Rimuru would likely take care of Leon. The two seemed to be becoming sorta friends.

"Hmm, that does sound troublesome." I could sense Guy's annoyance through the Thought Communication. "Very well. I will inform her."

With that, he cut the Thought Communication. That was rather simple and easy.

'Is it possible for you to modify Rimuru's Ultimate Skills to get rid of the control circuits?'

"It is. However, I do believe that my younger sister will not accept this until later on. She will likely attempt to discover her own way before coming to me for help." Othinus said in exasperation.

'I'll leave the option open for Rimuru then.'

Then there was Leon and Velzard, both with Virtue Series Skills that could become issues. Guy could take care of Velzard, so I wouldn't worry much about that.

Besides, Velzard got her Ultimate Skill from Veldanava personally. Maybe he did something to make her immune to the control circuits influence. Would be awfully cold if he left that function in and passed it onto Rudra.

And I wasn't quite close enough to Leon to offer to help him. He wouldn't trust me, that's for sure, so I suppose there was no use in worrying about him at this point. I'd leave it to Rimuru, since he regularly spoke to Leon, far more than I did at least.

I could also tell Sylvia or Elmesia. Sylvia was his mentor according to Elmesia, and Elmesia herself seemed close to Leon.

'Do you think the other Virtue Skills can evolve past this control circuit like Ouroboros did?' I asked Othinus.

"It is possible, but similar to what you said to Guy Crimson, it would require the user to evolve their Ultimate Skill a step further."

I sighed. 'Figures. This means anyone relying on a Virtue Skill is at risk until we find a solution.'

"Indeed."

I lowered my Thought Acceleration, our entire conversation took place in a fraction of a second so my foot hadn't even moved from where it was before.

I stepped through the portal, allowing it to close behind me.

Elmesia, Sylvia, and Sarion were sitting in their seats already.

"Felix, thank you for coming back so soon." Elmesia said.

"It's no problem. I was occupying myself by talking with Kenya."

I could see Sylvia's eyes light up. "Ah, Kenya. He is the one who you said you took as your student, correct?" She asked Elmesia.

Elmesia nodded slightly. "Yes, he is a good child with potential."

They continued to chat as I made my way to my seat.

"The one that is blessed by the Greater Elemental of Light?" Sarion asked.

Elmesia nodded.

"A True Hero in the making then." He mused. "Just so long as he gets the Fairy Queen's blessing."

"That's a non-issue." I said. "I know Ramiris and she said that she would give Kenya her blessing once he became an Enlightened."

Sarion blinked slowly. "...I see. I had to do many tasks for her, act as her servant and worship the ground she walked on for her to merely consider giving me her blessing…"

Poor Sarion. It totally sounded like Ramiris to do that. The mature Ramiris was the one he got the blessing from. It seems even in her original form, Ramiris is still Ramiris.

"Fufufu, I remember you complaining about her." Sylvia laughed.

As Sylvia chuckled at Sarion's misfortune, Elmesia hid a small smile behind her hand, clearly enjoying the banter. It made me happy that she was able to enjoy something like this when it was previously impossible. She was a good ally and someone I was beginning to think of as a friend.

Sarion sighed, rubbing his temple. It seems Ramiris traumatized him quite a bit.

"Well, that aside," Sarion said, shaking his head. "If Kenya truly is on the path to becoming a True Hero, then it's no wonder you took an interest in him, my daughter. If you wish, I could offer him my own advice as well." He said, offering an olive branch.

I could tell that he was trying to connect a bit more deeply with Elmesia.

Elmesia nodded with a smile. "With his talent, leaving him unguided would have been a waste. I am sure that he would be rather happy to learn some things from you as well, father."

Sarion smiled softly. "Excellent."

Sylvia sighed. "Enough stalling you two. Let us finish this discussion. I'm sure that we are keeping Felix."

I waved her off. "It's fine. This is something that I've been looking forward to for quite some time. Devoting some of my time to this dynasty is worth it in the end."

"Fufufu, is that so?" Sylvia said, a teasing smirk on her face.

"It is so. Elmesia has been a good friend so far, and a good ally. It is only proper that I show the same care."

Elmesia helped during the attack on the Tempest Founding Festival, she warned the Western Nations off of Tempest and Azeroth at the start of our relationship, she was one of the first rulers to form a cooperative relationship with Tempest, and my own nation, and she was an enjoyable person to be around.

Sylvia smirked in Elmesia's direction, but I didn't pay any attention to that.

"I see, I am relieved that my daughter has made such a good ally and friend." Sylvia said with a genuine smile.

Then as if on queue, all three stood up and bowed, causing my eyes to widen in surprise.

I straightened up at their display. Even Elmesia had bowed her head alongside her parents, not as Evelyn, but as the Divine Empress of Sarion.

Sylvia spoke first. "Felix, for your aid to my daughter, for your contributions to our dynasty, for your willingness to stand beside us as a true ally, and most of all for giving me my dear husband back, we offer you our formal gratitude." She said as she looked me straight in the eyes.

I held her gaze, feeling the sincerity behind her words. I could tell her gratitude came from the depths of her heart.

Sarion followed with a small nod. "You have done more for my family than I can ever repay. Not only for Elmesia, but for me as well when you had no reason to." He took a deep breath. "For years I had lost myself, living in the same world as my family yet unaware of their mere existence. I had become an entirely different person, and you returned me from that fate. You returned me to my wife, to my daughter, to my people. That is a debt I cannot ignore. Should you ever need my aid, I will be among the first to answer, I promise you this." Sarion said with a steely nod.

Elmesia didn't lift her head immediately. Her voice, however, carried the weight of her emotions. "I don't bow my head to just anyone, but you have done too much for me to leave it be." She slowly lifted her green eyes to meet mine. "You didn't have to do all that you did. You did not have to inform me about my father's fate as Laplace, you could have merely left me in the dark and I would not have blamed you or Rimuru. But you did. And for that… I will never forget." She said with a far more innocent smile, one that I hadn't ever seen on her face before.

For a moment, I was silent. Their words carried weight, and I wasn't the type to just brush that off. I exhaled, rubbing the back of my neck before responding. It would totally ruin the mood if I said that I originally just wanted to make sure Elmesia stayed a firm ally.

While that wasn't quite the main reason I had when I arrived in this room anymore, it was still a large one. "You guys are making a big deal out of this." I said with a wry smile. "I did what I thought was right for a friend. That's all there is to it."

It was mostly the truth, I did want to see Elmesia's family reunited; give some people a decent ending in this world. She was a friend, I didn't neat some kind of external goal for helping out a friend.

Though gaining three new powerful allies was just a nice side benefit.

Sylvia chuckled, straightening. "That is exactly why you deserve our gratitude. As Sarion said, we will fight with you should you need it."

I dipped my head slightly. "Thank you. But know this, just as you see me as an ally, I see you the same way. If you ever need me, I'll be there." No real friendship or alliance could last if one part was the only one that benefited.

Sylvia's smile widened. "Then let this be a true bond between us."

Sarion extended his hand, and I clasped it firmly. "May this alliance last through the ages."

Elmesia just smirked, tilting her head. "And may you not regret it."

I laughed. "I doubt I will."

This event did make me feel a little closer to Elmesia. Maybe I'll go easier on Evelyn.

I looked at Elmesia's adorable smiling face.

Nah, I doubt I will.

______________________________________________________________________

After the official stuff was over with, I stayed in Sarion a little longer on Sylvia's prompting.

She seemed to want to get to know me a bit better. From what I understood, she'd be staying with Elmesia in Sarion for the time being, with Sarion as well. It was going to get rather confusing to have a person named Sarion and a country also named Sarion.

I told the three a bit about my own journey in this world upon their prompting. All three seemed to be surprised at what I shared.

"You are incredibly lucky it seems." Elmesia mused out loud.

I nodded. "You could say that." A lot of things have worked in my favor in this world. I was summoned at the face of an opportunity to grow stronger. If I was facing a far stronger foe than the Medium Dragon, then who knew what would have happened.

I found the Ogre Village and stayed there a bit, which allowed me to improve some of my techniques with Hakurou's help and learn more applications of my Skills.

Even meeting Milim was lucky. I was lucky she thought I was interesting enough to agree to my bet, and lucky enough that she was a reasonable person as long as you didn't anger her.

And there was even more I was thankful for.

I spoke a bit about how Milim basically took me in for a bit, allowing me to use her as a training partner to get the hang of my new powers. For that, I was still grateful. Milim was one of my best friends and I'd always have her back, no matter what.

I briefly shared a bit about how I went to Dwargon and found Raiden.

"She is the Lightning Dragon Elmesia shared about, no?" Sylvia asked.

I nodded. "She is."

"Hmm, if you would like, I could perhaps offer her some tips. It is the least I could do."

I dipped my head slightly. "I'd be grateful for that, but let's hold off on that until the future. For the time being, she isn't strong enough to truly be able to learn from you."

Sylvia smiled. "It is no problem. Merely send her here when you wish to."

"I will."

The conversation shifted to lighter topics after that. Sylvia asked about my experiences in Tempest, my travels, and even my thoughts on the state of the world. Elmesia and I occasionally poked fun at each other, much to Sylvia's amusement. Sarion, while quieter, would interject with insightful remarks.

It was a pretty enjoyable time all around.

As the evening stretched on, I eventually stood. It wouldn't do to stay here for too long. I'm sure the three still have some catching up to do that they would prefer I not be here for.

"I should get going. There are still things I need to take care of."

Elmesia pursed her lips but didn't argue. "Of course. Thank you for your time and help, Felix."

Sylvia shot Elemsia an amused glance before nodding. "Very well, do feel free to visit."

Sarion stood and offered me his hand which clasped firmly. "Once again thank you, Felix. I hope to have the opportunity to get to know you better in the future."

I nodded with a smile. "That sounds fun. Maybe you can join Rimuru, Veldora, Milim and I in some of our game nights." I said, intentionally not mentioning Ramiris. His reaction to her would be funny.

Sarion blinked in confusion. "Game nights? Very well, I will look forward to it then."

I nodded, then turned toward the portal I had prepared. I raised a hand, waving. "See ya."

With that, I stepped through, leaving the royal family of Sarion behind.

As the portal immediately closed behind me, I waited for a few moments, floating in the air harmlessly. I didn't immediately return to my territory. Since I was out, I decided to take care of a few promises I had made first.

After a moment, I heard a loud boom that shook the surroundings. "Felix! I was waiting for you!" Milim huffed as she put her hands on her hips.

I nodded. "I was expecting that. I am here for Middray though, I have a favor to ask of him and you."

Milim pursed her lips as she floated downwards. "We can talk about that later!" She quickly got into my personal space and pointed at me. "Why didn't you tell me about all the fun that was going to happen!? I wanted to show off too!"

I rolled my eyes. "That's precisely why. Your showing off would wipe a few countries off the map. You aren't particularly known for self control, after all."

Milim froze for a second before pouting. "That's… fair, but I still don't forgive you! It was super mean to exclude me from the fun."

I paused for a second before sighing. "You're right Milim. I'm sorry." I said as I dipped my head.

"Wah! I wasn't expecting you to actually apologize!" She said. "I was just going to blackm– I mean ask for some treats!" She said as she looked to the side.

"You know you could always just, you know… ask me. You are one of my best friends. I'll give you what you want so long as it is within my ability to do so."

Knowing Milim, it would be something basic like candy or another fight or something. She was simple like that.

Milim blinked at me, seemingly stunned for a moment before crossing her arms and grinning. "Heh! Of course, you would say that! You're my best friend too, after all!"

I chuckled. "So, what is it you want then?"

She immediately brightened up and flew right into my personal space again.

Suddenly an idea came to my mind. "Ah, if you want I was actually just going to ask if you wanted to come to another world with me."

Milim's expression froze, so I continued.

"I'm planning to leave soon. I can come back to take you with me once I make sure everything is fine on the other end."

An excited grin grew on Milim's face. "Yes! That sounds fun!"

"You should bring Gaia too. I'm sure Gaia could enjoy the experience as well."

Milim grinned happily. "Thanks Felix! I'm sure Gaia will be happy too!"

I nodded. "I'll come pick you up when the time comes then." I reached to my side, my handing going through a spatial disturbance as I pulled out some sweets. "Have these, though. Raiden made them for me and I thought you'd like them. They're super good."

I said as I handed her the pile after putting one in my mouth. Milim quickly tried one. "Mmm~! It is really good! Aww, I wish I had a Raiden of my own!" She whined.

I shrugged. "Just stop by whenever you want and ask her to make you something. She won't refuse."

"Woah I can do that!?" She asked with some excitement.

I shrugged. "Yeah, sure. What's mine is yours." I said as I snatched another sweet from Milim's pile.

Milim grinned. "Hehe thanks! Now what did you want with Middray?" She asked as she chewed on another sweet.

"I wanted to see if he could help Raiden out with getting a handle on her power. She became a Divine Dragon and that's a pretty big change. Having someone who has gone through that process to mentor her a bit would be great."

Milim's eyes widened. "Woah, she became a Divine Dragon already!? That's super impressive!"

"I found a way to cheese it a bit, but she still had to make the majority of the effort. So where is he?"

Milim pointed toward a distant temple-like structure atop a mountain peak. "Probably meditating or training. He's been preparing some of the Dragon Faithful for the next festival. He really liked the Tempest Festival, so he wanted to have one here for the Dragon Faithful."

"Good, then I won't be interrupting anything too important." I began flying toward the temple, as Milim began flying alongside me we both heard a sonic boom.

"Gah! She found me!" Milim cried out.

"Milim! There you are!" Frey said as she flew towards us. "I've been looking for you ever since you flew off all of a sudden." Frey's gaze then moved to me. "Though I think I know why now."

I smiled at Frey. "Hello Frey."

Frey dipped her head. "Felix." She said, though there was a bit of fear and reverence in her tone. I suppose that was to be expected after seeing Milim's and my fight.

"Sorry if I interrupted something."

Frey sighed. "It is not your fault. That is just how Milim is."

"Haha, that's true."

"Did you come here for her?" Frey asked.

I shook my head. "Yes, but no. We've already had our talk so you can take her now."

"Hey!" Milim's cry went ignored by the both of us.

Frey slowly grabbed Milim by the arm, Milim could have easily avoided it but she let Frey do it. "Now come along Milim. I'm sure Felix can find his way."

"Wah! I don't wanna!" She whined.

"Get your work done, Milim, we'll be going on a long vacation soon enough."

"Ah, that's right!" Milim yelled in excitement. "Come on, let's go, Frey!" Milim said as she dragged Frey along.

"What do you mean vacation?!" Frey cried as she was forced to fly at Milim's pace.

"Ah, I forgot to tell Felix about the monsters he made!" I faintly heard Milim yell from a distance.

Monsters I made? Eh it's probably nothing.

"Milim Nava may be correct actually. Upon further analysis I believe there may be technical children of yours in The Dungeon."

'Huh!?'

"When you showed off your power to Hinata Sakaguchi, your power flooded through The Dungeon. Monsters may have been born from your lingering Aura."

Shit. Do I owe child support?

"They likely possess no ego whatsoever, similar to Charybdis, so ignoring their existence entirely is valid."

I sighed in relief. I didn't want to be a dad yet! If they had no ego, then it may be cruel, but I didn't care much for them beyond scientific interest. No ego meant they had no thoughts or feelings whatsoever. It was hard to think of a creature like that as a living being.

Still, I was a bit curious about them. Maybe I'd stop by at The Dungeon to see them when I visit Rimuru.

With that, I flew towards Middray. As I landed near the temple courtyard, I spotted Middray sitting cross-legged at the center, eyes closed in deep meditation. Several of his followers were training in the background, practicing martial arts techniques under the guidance of senior monks.

The moment my feet touched the ground, Middray opened his eyes and smiled. "Lord Felix. It is good to see you again." He stood up and bowed slightly.

I returned the gesture. "Likewise. I actually came to ask a favor of you."

Middray raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "A favor?"

"Thanks again, Middray!" I said.

"It is no problem, Lord Felix! You are a friend of Lady Milim's and I already see Raiden as one of my precious pupils! To hear her make such progress in such a short period of time is truly astonishing! I am most eager to assist her." Middray said with a laugh.

I nodded. "Still, thank you. Feel free to stop by at the rewards center and take any Art you desire."

Middray paused before nodding. "Drago Fist Arts are satisfactory. However, I will still take a look. Thank you, Lord Felix."

"It's the least I could do. I'll be leaving now, though. Feel free to stop by when you finish up here. I'll tell the maids to take you to Raiden when you show up."

Middray wanted to finish up some preparations for the festival he was holding for the Dragon Faithful. He said that afterwards he'd be more than happy to help Raiden.

With that, I finally teleported back to my territory. I was getting rather excited. I just had a couple people to tell that I'd be leaving, and a couple conversations to have. After that, then I'd finally leave for Solo Leveling.

- Velzard -

She thanked Guy for the warning he gave her, the warning that came from… Felix. His existence still irritated her, mostly due to the attention that Guy gave him, but she at least appreciated the warning he gave her. After some time, she had come to terms with Guy's appreciation for Felix.

Felix's show of care for her did help in that process though. She wouldn't have expected him to bother to inform her about his discovery of control circuits.

Control circuits… she hadn't known that such a thing existed, and she honestly couldn't tell if her older brother got rid of the one that may be in her own Gabriel. He tended to be unpredictable, even at his best.

But in the end, even if such a thing did exist within her, she was the Frost Dragon. Perhaps, in her brother's hands, that control circuit could crush her, but in the hands of Rudra? In his hands, she had nothing to worry about. He was a shell of his former self.

He likely could not even exert enough spiritual power to control a True Dragon such as her.

In the end, Rudra was not a threat to her… No, there was a much grander threat, and one she and everyone on this planet was hopeless against.

After all, none could stand a chance against him. Once he decided to take action, the world would be reset to zero, especially with that ability. All she could do now is make sure that those she valued were allowed in his version of creation, such was the deal they made.

At the very least, they had quite a bit of time. A few years of it in fact, so she would enjoy it before she would do what she must.

Author's Note:

Sup everyone, back with another chapter of Daemon. The Sarion plotline is finally wrapped up in this chapter. Felix got the eternal loyalty of the elves, and whatever it is that is happening with Elmesia is progressed forward a bit.

Othinus is also playing her games, who knows what'll happen because of that. And she is starting to sense one of the things that will serve as the basis for Felix's future power up.

I wonder what it is?

Felix also learns about the control circuits in the virtue skills.

We get some wholesome Milim interaction as well.

I wonder what Velzard is talking about? That's incorporating some new lore from the LN.

Thanks for reading, peace.

Thanks to @Salante and @Flowerman for beta'ing this chapter.
