"Soft? No. He just doesn't have to pretend anymore. An omega's instinct changes with the situation. If he wasn't pregnant you know he would have beaten you up for taking him away from his mates." Dad sighed. I hummed. He really knew me.
"He didn't freak out with Charly when he brought him to the park," She said.
"That's because he wasn't with his mates and he knew it was me. I didn't forcefully try to take him away." Charly stepped up next to his dad. "I've seen it happen with my mom and other omegas. Most of the time it was family or friends that thought it would be funny to see how an omega would react. Other times it was people that tried to kidnap them."
"Kidnap? I would never do that to my brother." Kiela took a step back with a scared expression.
Charly glared at her. "So you wanted to see how he would react?"
Kiela shook her head. "No. I didn't know it would happen. Our family knows nothing about omegas. How could I know? Killian's the only omega in our family. He doesn't know much about omegas either."
"You're lucky Raiven and Aiden knew it was you. If not they would have gone feral." Mason told her.
"Feral? Why?" Kiela asked. I'm surprised she had to ask since she's an alpha.
Mason looked at Kiela like he was looking at an ant. "You tried to take their mate right in front of them. Any alpha would go feral if someone tried to take their mate away. Let alone those two are the strongest alphas in a long time. If they go feral no one will be spared." He told her darkly.
Kiela looked scared. "I didn't know. I'm sorry."
Mason snorted. "Don't apologize to me. Apologize to them."
Kiela looked over at us. She shivered and then rushed over to us. When she stood in front of us she threw herself on the ground at our feet. She reached out to pinch my pants.
I had to force myself not to flinch away from her hand. I always hated it when people grabbed hold of my clothes. Lorna was different since she was literally a kid. If it was an adult I would always try to escape their grasp. That's why I've always dressed myself even though I could have had a servant dress me.
Kiela looked up at me with pleading eyes. "I'm sorry Killian. I won't do it again. Please forgive me. I was ignorant of the ways of an omega. I swear I will learn."
For a bit I stared down at her indifferently. I was gauging her reaction. If she was sincere in her words. When I finally saw she was being truthful I smiled at her and helped her up. "It's ok, Kiela. I know you didn't mean it." I glanced around at the crowd. "Now. It's my reception. Should we get the party started?"
A pop was suddenly heard in the corner. When I looked over to see what it was I had to laugh. Henrie stood there with a foaming bottle of champagne. "Indeed. My dear Luna. Let's celebrate and forget all the uncomfortableness and have fun."
I smiled and chuckled. "That's my Beta. Always know how to diffuse a situation."
A blonde guy suddenly showed up next to Henrie. "I agree." He filled up a glass with the champagne and raised it high. "Let the party begin."
"So tell me." I followed the voice to see a black haired guy leaning over the dessert table. "When do we eat? I'm starving." He then looked up and grinned. "If I'm starving how do you think a pregnant omega feels right now?"
My mouth hung open. "Ok. I understand Henrie but what about Nico and Declan?"
Aiden and Raiven chuckled. "Nico has liked you since he met you in the art club. He's been looking after you when we couldn't. More so since the incident with Cameron." Aiden informed me.
"Same with Declan. He's a little ninja when it comes to you. If I can't be with you he's never far away." Raiven said with a chuckle.
I looked up at them. "Why?"
They both smiled down at me. "They are our Betas. You are our mate. Their Luna. They will do anything to keep you safe." Raiven told me softly.
Right. This pack's huge. It's basically three packs in one. That's why we all have our own Beta. Even though I wasn't an Alpha and didn't really need a Beta I still had one since I was basically the leader of my former pack. I had Henrie. Raiven had Declan. Aiden had Nico. It was one pack with two Alphas and one Luna.
Others would call this pack unusual and it was. Normally one of my sisters would take over my old pack and I would stand alongside Raiven in his. Since Aiden wasn't in line for his he would've joined us and helped Raiven.
My dad chose me to take over the pack. Aiden got the recognition from his and was chosen as the Alpha. Because of that we chose to combine packs.
Raiven rubbed my arm. "In fact there's always a pack member nearby just in case."
I stared up at him. "Really?" I tilted my head, thinking. It did make sense. A Luna is essential to a pack. A pack would do anything to protect their Luna.
Raiven nodded. "Of course. Everyone's afraid something's going to happen to you. After the Cameron incident no one wanted to leave you alone."
I looked between them and then looked around the crowd. I smiled and then rushed to the middle of the crowd and spun around. "Come on guys. Drop the frowns and have fun." I smiled.
I glanced around the crowd and saw some surprised expressions. Some had their mouths hanging open. I guess I surprised them with my attitude. I grinned and laughed. I slowly spun in circles with my arms spread and head thrown back.
Soon Raiven and Aiden joined me. They took my hands and we slowly spun in circles. People around us laughed and joined in. After spinning around for a while Raiven pulled me to him so I was pressed to his front. Aiden pressed up against my back.
Raiven had one hand on my waist and the other on Aiden's. Aiden had his on the other side of my waist and on Raiven's. My arms were wrapped around Raiven's neck. I laid my head on his chest. I gently stepped on Raiven's shoes as they held me in place.
Dancing with three people could be hard so we got in the habit of me standing on Raiven's feet as they did all the work. I laughed as we twirled around the dance floor. Soon my belly growled. Raiven and Aiden stopped and stared down at me and then burst out laughing.
"I guess it is time to eat." Aiden chuckled.
I blushed and looked away. "I am pregnant. I have to eat more often than normal." I glanced at them from the corner of my eyes. "I am carrying your baby." I mumbled.
Raiven caressed my cheek. "We know. Let's get some food in you."
"Come on everyone. It's time to eat. Killian and the baby are starving." Aiden raised his voice so the whole room heard him.
I blushed more. "Aiden." I whined.
Aiden rubbed my head. "It's ok sweetheart. It's not to be ashamed of. It's normal. I only said that so they will get their asses in gear. They would not want to make a pregnant omega starve." He gestured around us. "Look."
I glanced around. It looked like everyone was rushing to find their seats. My mouth hung open. I never saw a room full of people move so fast. Raiven gently pulled me to the head table. He sat me down in the middle seat and then took the one on my right while Aiden sat down on my left.
When everyone was seated Aiden raised his glass and stood up. "Thanks for coming, everyone. It means a lot to us. As you know we just got married and are expecting." He looked around the crowd and smiled.
"If you're wondering why the dominant alpha isn't talking, that is because Raiven isn't very warm when it comes to others. In fact he could care less. So… you got me. The outgoing alpha." That got laughs. It was true though. Raiven was only warm with us. His family even got a bit of the cold treatment. When it comes to people that have no relation to him he's ice cold.
