Chapter 24 - {24} Side story-Olga Marie/1

Yo, Shonpufi Here!

Yeah, after the grand finale of FGO, a LOT of plans that I had went down the drain. If I wanted to keep things interesting, at least as much as I wanted, I couldn't save Olga.

What had happened to her was so weird and complicated that I still don't understand the entire situation.

That means that when I make Otto jump into the FGO world, it will probably be during one of the singularities.

===X===

-3rd POV-

She couldn't remember exactly, but before she was truly "born", Olga felt as if she were trapped inside her own body.

All she could do those days was watch her father with a blank expression as he researched how to give her "true life".

Eventually, father gave up on Olga, his prototype, as she was a failure. The research he was doing was taking too long, and he was far too busy to focus all his manpower on this.

But father had a sudden but great idea.

It was Mother, Valerie Tepes.

He sought to combine their sacred gears. One to create the vessel and one for the soul. This in itself sped up their research a hundredfold as both of them had knowledge of "Life and Death".

Eventually, through trials and errors, full of countless nights and days without sleep, they succeeded.

That was the day the first of the [Beasts of Humanity] was born, Goetia.

Olga, on the other hand, was a prototype sitting on the edge of the lab. She was somehow aware of herself, but still didn't have the finishing touches that her brother and sister had.

But even though she was a prototype that was lifelessly sitting on a corner, the day Goetia was born changed her life.

The smile of happiness that dawned on both Mom's and Dad's faces stirred something inside of her.

She was longing for something like that, affection from someone. She didn't know how or why she had this longing sensation that she couldn't comprehend, but it was true.

Eventually, Otto took on Olga once again, now that he and Valerie knew how to perfectly create life. But to his surprise, Olga was somehow...half complete?

She couldn't move, she couldn't breathe, she couldn't do a single thing, yet she could somehow...think? Olga had some level of self-awareness.

Otto was stunned. This should be impossible.

The soul that had been made and had failed for Olga's body should have eventually dispersed with time, but it didn't. Yes, it was still incomplete beyond compare, but there was this... thing. A shard, foreign to this world that keeps it all together.

That day was the day she was truly born: Olga Marie Apocalypse.

She could see her father look at her with the same eyes he had with Goetia; eyes full of happiness and joy.

And despite her still being a half-empty vessel waiting to be filled, she smiled back, just as she remembered Otto smiling at her siblings.

He looked down at her in surprise as she lay tied to an operating table, but soon turned into a gentle chuckle.

Olga still remembers the words he said, "Hoh, you're already showing such emotion? Good job, worthy of being my creation!" To others, it might sound like something a super villain would say to their abomination of a creation...well, it was, but to her, they were words of praise. Ones that she never forgot, as they were the first words her father said to her.

From that day on, she became part of the [Beasts of Humanity], only second-born to her brother, Goetia.

Of course, it wasn't all smooth sailing at first; they all still had the tough process power of a fetus, so Otto and Valerie had to teach them everything from scratch.

He taught them how to speak, he taught them how to move, he taught them how to play, but above all, he taught them how to truly live.

And that's something Olga will always be grateful for.

From that day on, she kept learning as much as she could so that I would be worthy of the position her father gave her. And I continue to wear the smile dad had on my face.

-Scene Change-

In a dimly lit office, Otto sighed as he pushed up his reading glasses. Did he need them? No. Did he look good in them? A resounding yes.

Today, the WHOLE DAY, he has been reading, approving, and going over progress reports.

He has many businesses and projects that he has going on. And of course he has people that oversee them, but he doesn't trust anyone but himself...and Himeko, and Welt, and also Lavinia. You get the point!

At the end of each month, Otto likes to go over all reports and double-check them.

"Seriously, why am I placing so much work on myself?" He cursed himself for being so smart, diligent, and handsome.

*Knock!*

*Knock!*

*Knock!*

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," Otto said.

Hearing his permission, the door began to slowly creak open until a streak of white peeked through the opening.

"Father?" Olga spoke softly as she walked in.

Otto smiled as he looked at his other white-haired munchkin.

"Olga, need something?" Otto asked as he took off his glasses and leaned back on his chair, his eyes set on her.

Olga shuffled nervously, her fingers playing with each other as though they weren't able to stay still for a single second. "I just came to see you..." She admitted with a slight blush. She knew that she was already grown (For her type of being) and that she shouldn't be clinging to him like a child, but...

Otto smiled. He then pushed his feet against the floor, making him roll back in his chair. "Come," he said as he patted his lap.

Olga's eyes shone with happiness as she shamelessly skipped over to him, dropping to her knees as she lay her head on his thigh.

Otto chuckled. Olga had always looked up to him, following behind him like a baby duck. She practically stuck to him as she searched for his warmth.

His hand reached down as he began to brush his fingers through his daughter's white locks of hair.

Olga immediately began to purr like a cat, enjoying every second of it. "Hmm~ I wish dad had brushed my hair like this..." She spoke absentmindedly.

But she suddenly froze, her entire body going stiff for a second.

Dad? Which dad? The only one she had, the only one shell ever need was right here.

Shaking the deeply buried memory, she began to close her eyes, falling asleep.

"Dad, huh?" Otto muttered under his breath, his eyes sharpened as he looked at Olga's sleeping figure.

It seems like "she" is awakening faster than he thought she would.

A sly grin plastered itself across his face. He would be watching his dear daughter with great interest. And when the time comes, he'll help her navigate through her little...problem.

Her "original" self.

The broken shard that had traveled through space and time, only to end up here, right on his lap.

===X===

This is a small interlude about her, and for those who know the ending, you'll know where this is going. Apparently, Olga was kept in a lab in Area 51, tortured as they experimented on her, as they thought she was an alien.

I won't go much into detail, but let's just say that a small shard of her broken soul has wandered far beyond where it should have.

Also, if you can explain the ENTIRE Olga situation down below to me, I would very much appreciate it. I got kind of an idea, but I'm still sort of confused on some things.
