Ye Lantian spent most of the day with her parents at home, making sure her father's thinking was normal and not a sign of early dementia, before she felt relieved enough to go down the mountain and return to the hospital to hand over work.
Afterwards, she went to the pharmacy to buy a test strip and waited at the hospital entrance for He Longze.
He had said he would come to pick her up before six.
Look at the time, it's almost six.
The man should be coming soon, right?
Bored, Ye Lantian took out her phone and aimlessly browsed WeChat Moments, once again seeing her younger brother showing off with Shangyu.
She closed WeChat and called her brother.
The call went through, but it was Jin Shangyu who answered, his voice smooth and magnetic, "Hello?"
"Shangyu?" Just hearing the voice, she knew it was him.
Ye Lantian said, these two can't seem to be apart, calling Jin Shangyu's phone, her brother answers; calling her brother's phone, Shangyu answers.
